they fricked this up from the beginning of the plummer family ordeal
first it was that tarsha did nothing wrong, then it was the greedy family, and now it's "mistakes were made" but that was due to a consulting firm misleading tarsha. the wheels are coming off.

This is the key right here.
When you have a group of people who are literally never at fault for anything bad that happens, they eventually turn on each other and it all starts crumbling.

well everyone seems to be mixing the 2 situations
"mistakes were made" is related to the audit and allegations in the audit (along with the blame of the consulting firm)
i do not think anyone has admitted any mistakes with the will-trust issue

didn't mean to mix the two. my point was that they started this off with how good of a ceo tarsha is and how she's done a flawless job. silence is sometimes the best defense.

uh, yeah
i still can't believe all the press conferences and shite they did when the original will story broke
if i were their attorney i'd resign immediately
EVEN IF THEY'RE 100% RIGHT, all they're doing is creating more rope to hang themselves on something else said
*ETA: this "scorched earth" strategy via litigation is also just stupid (and i mean STUPID)

Can you imagine the finger pointing that would take place if a multimillion dollar scandal unfolded after receiving the new budget? All black COA would be blaming whitey left and right.

Silence is not their strong suit.

Was the board member living in Ascension Parish (against bylaws) an audit finding, or was that just another separate issue that just popped up?

man what about this compromise
the board of the COA get additional seats, each to be appointed by each BR-EBR councilperson. create a merge of public accountability with COA management

i think a completely separate issue that popped up
this story is really juicy without much work necessary

It's probably the worst PR decision they could possibly make. Their whole argument is founded on an egregious conflict of interest.

from a PR perspective it's retarded
attack the actual family of this lady because tarsha wants her greedy mitts on the $500 a month?

witch hunt....check
yeah the nerve of people wanting oversight and accountability before handing over millions of dollars to you.

i'm curious what these people have said that's so defamatory, honestly (didn't read the suit)

Has anyone reported this possible fraud to FEMA?
Considering it came out as part of the state audit, seems pretty likely that FEMA would be somewhat aware of it by now.

In the COA bylaws they annually audit themselves (joke) and send the report to the governor's office.
How could the governor's office not get involved into looking at this mess and turning a blind eye? If the COA sends the audit to JBE's staff then shouldn't he begin to look into the possible corruption taking place under his watch?
CoA's By Laws

He is going to follow this right to the ledge and as the train is going over, he will step off and never speak of it again.
I don't think gravy can admit when he is wrong.

uh yeah
in a story involving alleged power structures in BR with the 2 potential villains having mothers who are judges within that power structure, immediately using the courts (again, the domain of their mothers) to bully and silence opposition? there aren't many worse PR strategies you could adopt
