I can't imagine clutching your pearls over an internet post about the hilarity of $900 being life changing.

I’ve never met anyone, from any state, that is envious of or desires to live in Atlanta.
You should get out more then.
Atlanta and Environs is completely packed.
Unfortunately.

Awesome for him to do that without seeking attention

I hope the life changing part included more than the money. It was the gesture, the personal note, and the money.

I thought this was going to be like 50k. 900 while great doesn’t seem news worthy

Not shocked in the least. He's a really good dude who's a country boy from northern Mississippi. Loves hunting, America, and hosts a charity golf tournament every May that benefits veterans.
He's a baw.

I am sure LSU and Saints fans will nitpick and talk shite about it because the story includes the word "Atlanta" - which they are all very jealous and envy of that city
What a strange fricking post.

Yall have clearly never been down and out before… Ive definitely been in a place where I was a car breakdown or an unexpected medical expense away from being effed financially.

$900 gets you a basket of generic groceries these days

That story has gone around featuring numerous celebs. Same waitress picture. Same receipt and note.
You got duped.
Amazing that people fall for this stuff.
Guessing you are at least 65.

$900 is more than enough to give someone who’s going through a hard time some breathing room, fig

Maybe the "life changing" part had nothing to do with the money. Maybe it was the mentality of it. This could have been the first time someone showed her that she was worthy/appreciated.

they didn't mention if the waitress was a single mom

I think it was the act that was life changing.
Exactly.
Sometimes when someone is really down, a generous act of kindness can lift them.
I imagine most of us have done similar things before, and I imagine most of us have been in tigjht spots where $900 could've really helped.

I didn't bother to check the validity; I always assume most of these are like a Raoul Duke post, fake AF.

Story sounds fake. And that’s a chicks handwriting on the receipt.
