Atlanta hasn't been the same since Abdullah the Butcher's House of Ribs and Chinese Food closed.

Everyone stay away. Atlanta sucks. It is a traffic hell crime-infested yankee city-state shithole.

Atlanta, Houston and Dallas are solid places to live with good economies.
Nobody is jacked up about visiting these places.
They each have their charm, but yeah a place like new Orleans, New York, San Francisco, etc are getting people jacked up to visit. Dallas, Houston, Atlanta are great places to live with great jobs.

This is probably the worst place to come to hear anything positive about a place like Atlanta.

Georgia will be a blue state in 10 years. Texas in about 15. Victims of their own success.

There is plenty in each to sustain a couple of recreational visits, and no doubt frequent visitors will have things they like/favorites/etc.
But we don't have the depth of Boston or NYC or NOLA, etc. What we do have are pleasant neighborhoods and good jobs and fairly easy living.

Good jobs, decent weather, generally safe, COL is super low.
That about wraps up why people are moving there.

It's massive with everything you could ask for except a distinct character. Maybe not quite as generic as Dallas but close.

I actually like Atlanta and would live in the northern parts of the city if the opportunity is right.
Don't forget, you can also be in the mountains in a relatively short drive also.

Likes to think of itself as the NYC of the south, but actually has a smaller population than Mesa Arizona. True fact. Look it up.
And any place that bills itself as the cultural capital of the south shouldn't have less culture in its entire metro area than what two city blocks of Savannah has.
It's freaking Mayberry with skyscrapers.

Very misleading. You know you have to look at MSA populations when doing this stuff. Atlanta MSA has nearly 6 million.
