What state are you In?
If you're financing in Louisana the lender, Chase in this case, will hold the title till you pay off your loan.
Some states like California Keep the records in the system. You can request the title once the lender provides you proof the lein has been satisfied.

One of the most important factors, (assuming you are get a fair deal, not the best ever deal) is for you to THINK you got the best deal. Ther there is no buyers remorse if you are happy with the deal. Unless you are "getting your head ripped off" you are really only haggling over pennies on the dollar and your peace of mind over the length you own th car is worth much more than that.

is this a new car store or a used car dealership?
if it's a used car dealer there wouldn't be interest in the price of the payment, or there shouldn't. That's part of the payment. I didn't know new car stores did buy here pay here crap.
