Russians have long been on the science based stance of abiotic production of oil. It makes the most sense given oil fields refill after they are left.

Man i just learned today that scientists have been to Saturn and found oil.

No it doesnt make the most sense. Oil is found where carbon rich source rocks are located, typically in prehistoric sedimentary basins. Most are still within the hydrocarbon generation window which is why some reservoirs are capable of recharging. The timing of recharge is orders of magnitude slower than the timing of extraction/production.

Flat earthers and abiotic HC people are one in the same.

It makes sense in terms of the carbon cycle. Or I’m just dumb.

I’m no expert on any of this, but is it not possible that hydrocarbons can be made by both decomposing plant/animal matter and whatever weird stuff is happening on weird planets like Saturn?

Coal was only possible for the time that there were no organisms(mostly fungi) evolved to break down wood. The more you know.

I refuse to refer to petroleum by any other name. It is naturally produced by the planet. It has nothing to do with dinosaurs.

Aren't the methane lakes on Titan due to volcanic eruptions?

I don't know, I haven't followed that stuff too closely

Petroleum is the earth’s lube. Keeps the tectonic plates greased up enough to usually avert massive earthquakes.

Ok good to know. Thanks for your scientific contribution.

And just so you know most petroleum is generated from the decay of microscopic organisms (plankton, algae etc) not from dinosaurs.
