The gunman was in a prone position shooting with iron sights. He had to have been in that spot for at least a minute prior to firing. So it's not like the gunman was a moving target
So far this has been one of the better explanations of why those 2 on the nearest barn could not see the shooter
And now after thinking that may have been a slide backwards from the SS sniper trying to see around the back side of the tree rather than a flinch to get out of the way
Purely all speculation though

I wonder why the dude didn't spend $200 on a cheap scope. It doesn't make sense to me at all to attempt that with iron sites.

I will agree with you as I am no doubt uneducated with uniforms and grooming standards
Still showing their support

150 yards with iron sites wouldn't be that hard of a shot if he would have aimed center mass. Going for a head shot was his mistake.

He was on the other side of the building. Go look at the TMZ and other video that show him laying on top. All grass between the cameraman and the building.

He looks like mouth breathing tard for starters. I doubt there’s a lot of common sense in that head.

My brain still can’t reconcile the diagram you posted, which makes sense based on this photo supposedly showing the dead gunman and gun
And this photo and this video of him dead on the roof
The people on the ground being able to see him means he had to be more grass side than the parking lot side of the roof unless the building is shorter than I’m thinking and it’s an optical illusion

Read earlier that it was possibly his dads rifle and if that is the case then you use what is available

So I am a veteran but not some infantry type dude. No advanced combat training. I can remember from the basics of boot camp that the tree in that picture is a problem with your sector of fire. Particularly one with defilade for an approach (the back side of the roof) You have to account for it as you plan out how you are going to defend yourself. How did they miss something so obvious?

Incompetence and miscommunication. SS probably though the locals were on it. The locals probably thought the SS or some other agency was on it. It would explain why all the snipers shifted their focus to the building a couple minutes before the shot because they were all confused as to who was really on the roof because everyone expected one of the good guys to be there.

Why do so many of yall get your news from women, regardless of which side they pretend to be on?

Trust me I was with with ya'll until I seen the helicopter pic and the pic I will post below that shows SS more towards the parking lot side as they are on the roof with the shooter
As you can also see from this pic the ground is elevated which would give the better view that we see in the pics and video
