[quote]In 2019, an estimated 38,800 people lost their lives to car crashes – a 2% decline from 2018 (39,404 deaths) and a 4% decline from 2017 (40,231 deaths). About 4.4 million people were injured seriously enough to require medical attention in crashes last year – also a 2% decrease over 2018 figures.

I'm not wearing a mask. If a store requires a mask for entry, I go somewhere else. The only way I wear a mask is if every liquor store in town requires one to be worn. Then... Then I'll wear a mask for booze.

Why is it so hard to wear a mask? Think of it as common courtesy to others, if nothing else. Instead, folks sound like spoiled children. "I don't wanna wear a mask. Make me!"

But you really don't know that you are virus free unless you ahve just immediately taken a test and been negative. Even a few hours after that you could be exposed and soon become a carrier, although asymptomatic. And youe breath produces droplets that land on items, that you then touch and spread over other items. I don't care much if I get it. But I can't afford to infect my elderly parents to whom I provide care.

I wear it for work and an LSU bandana sometimes in stores here in Gumpland just to aggravate the Bama fans.

To me, the mask represents the irrational fear of Covid that has plunged the world into chaos and cost me two international trips, a lot of uncertainty with my job, and the ability to do things I enjoy like going to movie theaters and restaurants.

Asking me to wear a mask is like asking a Republican to wear a Biden t-shirt.

There are people who wear masks while driving alone, walking in the park, jogging, etc. who wonder the same thing about people who only wear masks in stores. If you don’t wear a mask at all times outside of your house, why not? It’s not hard.

We non-mask wearers see the naivety of wearing a mask in any situation.

Imagine how scary the masks are to children and adults with childlike emotions.

I think that not wearing a mask makes people feel comfortable; things are getting back to normal. But, then again, I’m not a mindreader so I only know what’s going on in my head, just like you, Nervous Nelly.

Work at a grocery store and wear a mask everyday and have been doing so since early in this thing. Would be nice if patrons would have the same courtesy and do so coming into the store. Not all about, "This is Murica, you not going to tell me what I can and cannot do." Its more about having a little respect and courtesy towards your neighbors. If you want to yank it off as soon as you get out of the store, that is certainly your right but have a little consideration for all the store employees who are wearing their masks.
