Chase is retarded to this is not surprising. Chase once refused to talk to me about and auto loan bc I wasn’t an authorized person. I was a borrower on the loan along with my wife but they’d only speak to my wife. Dummies

I don’t know why people think sitting someone in a cube farm fixes this

Because they never bothered to look for meaningful productivity metrics to measure people by before COVID, therefore they had no baselines during COVID. They're panicking because the string of MBA and others "managing people," have no fricking idea what to do. Hence RTO. It's sad that high performers are presumably wrapped up in this too.

It's not hard to say, "close 400 loans a month and you can WFH 2 days a week, and if you keep up the production it's WFH 3 days a week," etc.

I use a pair of over-the-ear noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones. They're great. And cost less than $50. They block out the noise of all the people around you, and I can get up and walk around if I need to. Sometimes I think better when I'm wandering around rather than staring at the Zoom screen.

Not necessarily for the people on the other end of the Zoom if you have to talk (ie aren't muted most of the time.) It doesn't help that my current client for some reason picked cube walls that only go up to chin level.

No one is bootlicking. Companies are allowed to determine where their employees work. Don't like going back to the office? Go find a job where you can WFH or work hybrid.

I don't disagree with the free market concepts. Sure, there are other opportunities available in an ever-fluctuating job market. It's just the disingenuous reasoning given for why the change. "We want a more inclusive environment" translates behind the curtain to "we absolutely want people to leave to help the bottom line." It's a gutless rift while holding the pawns over a barrel telling them "..but we love you and want to see your beautiful face in person". Don't preach work-life balance only to then place your thumb on the scales.

I work for a company that is totally remote. I couldn’t RTO even if I wanted to do so.

lol, imagine making excuses for JPMorgan Chase

Imagine not understanding there will be difficulties initially with any new initiative.

There were difficulties when everyone stayed home and the adjustment needed with it, just nobody complained because they were on their couch.

If they knew how to set up their own wifi so it will only be available to them and a few others they wouldn't have to worry about this.

Okay I'll be honest. I work from home 1 or 2 days a week. When I am home and don't have anything going on at the moment, I will frick around. At work not so much.

Does anyone actually believe this? It's solely to justify their overpriced commercial real estate.
