Why did you hate it?
Because it gave me no sense of accomplishment or enjoyment like I was told all my life that owning a home would give me.

So your fine renting for the rest of your life?
It is significantly cheaper than a mortgage where I live, and my maintenance budget is $0. I may buy a condo at some point but even those are bad deals. I have no urge to ever buy a house ever again.

Currently on my second house which I've been in for 6 years.. With a 2.25% rate locked in for 27 years, I'm probably going to be here for awhile.

They sell delinquent taxes every year. After the 3rd year if you don't settle up, you lose it. Stupid shite, having to pay taxes on shite you've payed for and own.

2. Bought first in 2017 which was a starter home when we got married. Initial rate was 4.125 and refinanced in 2021 to 2.875. Bought second in late 2023 and sold initial home in January 2024 bc wife was pregnant with second child. Current rate is 6.875 which makes me want to cry.

8 homes total- lots of corporate moves from 1978 to 2000. Relocation always paid for.
Been in this house for 24 years, its paid for and I’m retired. May downsize one day as a cash sale.
My first home was FHA at 10.5%. That was common during the Jimmy Carter days.

We need to define home.........a trailer bought at auction should not count ...

If you count rentals, flips, and spec houses I built then the number is at the very least over 50. I would have to add it up.

3 Homes so far. I have the lot purchased and working on the house plans for the last house. This one is walking distance to Tiger Stadium. I'll be able to walk or bike to catch games or practice for baseball, womens bball, volleyball...

Bought our first house in 2014.
Sold it and bought our 2nd in 2020.
We have been very fortunate with the timing of both.

Five. Starter house while my (then) wife was in college and I was the only one making any money. Upgraded when she graduated and started making good money. Upgraded a 2nd time for more space (3 kids) and a better school district. Got divorced, so downsized to a smaller place that I could afford on a single income. I also have a lakefront condo that I use as a rental until I retire and move into it.
