First thing Christmas morning on the farm.
Before bed on Christmas Eve, dad would always tell us he was sleeping in the living room with his shotgun and if Santa tried breaking in the chimney he would shoot him in the arse. Always relieved to see presents under the tree. He claimed he would fall asleep and Santa snuck in, but he thought he hit Rudolph from the yard as Santa was taking off.
He had a different sense of humor..

As a kid on Christmas Eve we would go to my grandmothers for dinner and open gifts with all the family. It was usually about 30 people at her old house. The children would get a couple gifts and the adults would exchange names to buy each other gifts. The gifts for the adults were usually jokes.
I didn’t really understand this until I was in my teenage years. After that night we would rush back home and my parents would tell me and my siblings we had to quickly fall asleep as Santa was on his way. Usually my mother would stay up late to put out the gifts from Santa.
Now as an adult with two kids of my own I really appreciate the time and effort my family put in to make it special.
Family isn’t big like it was as a child. Sadly, as people age they pass away, but the memories of that old home filled with laughter will never go away.
Merry Christmas everyone.

As a kid, Christmas morning. Then it became Christmas Eve.

When I woke up on Christmas.
Didn't really do gifts with either side of my family. I had an aunt that would give me money as well as my grandmother, but I was the only kid so there wasn't really a time of gift opening.
Can someone start a thread asking what is the worst gift every received?

We didn't usually get presents at the orphanage.
First off I’m thinking you’re kidding about yourself.
Second I’ve always been bothered at the thought of these kids not having families and being sad.

It was always in the morning, around 7 or so.. I was the youngest of 7 and the oldest was 15 when I was born. So it was a few times that we all were together. There was always a mountain of presents under the tree. My dad would had out one present at a time and wait for us to open the present.
This one time he had to reach for a gift and his pajama pants opened up and his dick fell out and we all laughed (sons and daughter) and my mom got pissed. It was known as the Polish sausage dance because he tried this retarded move to cover it up..

So Santa came a day before everyone else in the country for your house?
Your parents didn't even try and keep up the lie. My parents would drag bells across the roof. Leave footprints in ash.
I believed in Santa way too long.
Led me question the other guy actually.

Christmas morning as long as Santa was real. After that, my grandaddy said all he wanted for Christmas was to sleep late, so we started opening presents on Christmas eve.

After midnight mass. My dad would pretend like he had to go back in to take a shite when we were halfway down the driveway and go put out the Santa presents

Most of friends were allowed to do this, but my parents were hard core and we waited until Christmas morning.

Christmas morning like God and Santa intended, you heathen!
As we got older it was on Christmas Eve. We also had a family deal on Christmas Eve where we got some presents and exchanged gifts.
