It is dark and raining tonight. Come into town, black dude walking on the edge of the road and somewhat into the road (no sidewalks, on a highway as it comes into town). He was wearing dark clothes. How he didn't get hit (including by me)is surprising because you couldn't see him until you were right up on him.

As a driver on a road that's not wide enough for a damn jogger and two cars.... Get the hell off the ROAD!

I already said not all neighborhoods have sidewalks.
Further, the few sidewalks that are around here appear to have been made by junior high students trying to get extra credit for their industrial arts class.

Go run on something designed for people to run on rather than something designed for people to drive on.

Hey, oblivious jogger - GET OUT OF THE STREET - those are made for cars. Find a nice jogging trail, track or park.

As a car driver on roads with adjacent sidewalks, where runners choose to run in the road anyways, here's a message:

Pay attention and move over (to the sidewalk).

You're mad people don't have courtesy and you need to nearly be run over to learn that?

Maybe you staying towards the middle of the road isn't such a bad thing

Always amuses me when 150-200 pound individuals think the 1.5-2 ton vehicle should get out of THEIR way.

You're running on a ROAD. How about YOU be observant?

ETA: A portion of my neighborhood has no sidewalks. Solution? Run on the side with oncoming traffic, see when a car is coming, step into the grass for all of 3 seconds, then go on about my run.

Life is hard.

Roads are for cars. Great, you want to exercise, go to a park. I hate runners who have a sidewalk and don't use it. Know of a lady disabled because she chose to run the road.

Road runners, motorcycles, bikes, all the same to me. While I'll do my very best to be careful around you, shite happens. And the shite that'll happen to you is a lot worse than the shite that'll happen to someone else in a car. So act accordingly.

Always run going against traffic, or the left.

When I run on the road, I know that I am taking the risk of a driver not seeing me. I can run in the grass if there is no sidewalk or just pick a totally different place to run. Roads are for vehicles.
