August 2001, Males wrote "these young Americans should finally get the recognition they deserve", praising the cohort and stating that "the permissively raised, universally deplored Generation X is the true 'great generation,' for it has braved a hostile social climate to reverse abysmal trends", describing them as the hardest-working group since the World War II generation, which was dubbed by Tom Brokaw as "The Greatest Generation". He reported Gen Xers' entrepreneurial tendencies helped create the high-tech industry that fueled the 1990s economic recovery.[71][72]

Yeah, I would have to say Gen x 100% started the PC movement and the queer rights movements. It's silly to pin that on the Millennials soley. That wasn't millennials making noise in the 90's and early aughts.

I broke it down in the other thread.
seven generations alive today.
Interbellum - (too young for ww1, too old for ww2) 1898-1913
GI / Greatest (ww2 generation) 1914-1927
Silent generation (Korea and Vietnam era, came of age in the 50's& pre hippie 60's) 1927-1946
Baby Boomers - (name given to generation born after ww2) 1946-1965
Gen X - 1965 - 1980's (early)
Gen Y/ Millenial early 1980's to late 1990's.
Gen Z - 9/11 generation - 1998 - now (but will probably see a cut in the teens added later)

I'm a late gen x guy. My granddad went through the depression and fought in WWII. He quietly handled his business every day of his life without needing validation. I hope one day someone will think I'm half as capable, diligent, and quietly tough as he was. Everyone from every generation needs to shut up, get to work, and avoid being a dick. People of all ages make things better sometimes, and sometimes they act like whiny morons. You don't get a pat on the head for doing what you're supposed to do. Just shut up, handle your shite, and don't cause problems.

Who do you suppose the teens/college age kids were in the late 90s early 00s were? Typical millennial blaming someone else. I know, I'm dating one and it's driving me insane.

The generations that choose to keep blacks separate from whites after slavery are to blame for all this sjw liberal millenial bullshite.

You get an upvote from me (millennial) but only because you are writing to a portion of my generation group. It was both funny and provided amusing gifs. Those of us who are actual productive members of society hate the ones in the group who have given us our bad name. However, I do feel the need to respond in kind. If it wasn't for the parents of my generation who told those who make the rest of us look like whiny, needy little bitches just how perfect they were, that everything is roses, you don't need a job I'll buy it for you, and we all get trophies maybe, just maybe those who make my generation suck would have actually turned out to be ok people instead of the whiny, needy, look at me, socialism is awesome dumbasses.
