I'm surprised there's been no "People are up in arms about this" comment yet.

However, the general manager at IHOP told Bancroft that William couldn’t sit on the table and touch the syrup containers because it was a health department issue, KARK reports.
Logic detected and confirmed.

Looking at that pic, I can hear the screech of her voice.

Thank God it's a white kid

We would soon be allowed to pour syrup with our toes if it was a black kid.

I want to know what the long term plan is. Surely there’s only a short window he can actually sit on a table without it falling over.

1. You need to get a stronger table

2. His legs will grow and sit in a booster and eat off the table with his legs up

Didn't read the article but why is this the case?

Not sure I follow.

First let me say, I truly feel for this young boy and his family and the challenges he is and will be faced with. I can not comprehend their situation. That being said I have made references in the past that my father worked in the fast food/ restaurant industry his whole life.
Years ago before social media he got a call on a Sunday afternoon from one of his stores saying that a mother put her child in one of those old Cheap wooden high chairs but the kid was to large according to the store manager and that the boy was now stuck.
My dad being the BAW he was spoke to the mom on the phone and said I will be there in 30 if that’s not good enough or if he is in pain have the store manager call the fire department either way we are gonna have to cut him out. Me and my little bro rolled up to the store with my dad, he had his hand saw and cut the little fat fricker out. He legit was 15-20lbs to heavy to be in that chair how she got him in there to begin with I will never know.
The mom thanked him end of story if that happened today it would have been totally different story and the business would probably be sued for not accomadating these types of people. Unfortunately not everyone can be accomadated all the time it’s called life.
