re: Argument on an Airplane

the dude in the red jacket with glasses was mouthing off constantly and gave someone the stink-eye like he wanted to fight. Then he said "the problem is American culture, everybody's against each other all the time when we ought to be in it together." He paused in the middle of that rant to tell someone else to "shut up", lol. The flight attendants were trying to calm him and everyone else down but of course none of these badasses would listen to that, they'd paid their $225 for a ticket and were acting like that made them Jeff Bezos.
You couldn't pay me enough to work on one of these planes. These crowd on these trash airlines are like a Wal-Mart Black Friday at 6am, with the entire crowd locked into a small tube for 4 hours.

The more I see these videos the more I think, "Would high speed rail alleviate some of this on flights? If so, I'd vote yes."

Good lord. The passengers on airplanes are starting to look like a casino buffet line.

Vid cut off right before white guy got sucker punched and stomped out by 10 people for 'disrespeckin' those queens. I've seen this episode too many times.

First of all I lived like 5 miles from Trenton Mercer Airport up until last year. Frontier is the main airline. Used to have a direct to New Orleans.
Everyone was pretty tame in the video. The dumb 3rd party guys were causing as much an issue as anyone else. Red jacket guy should have gotten stomped.

I'm starting to notice a familiar pattern with these airplane arguments...

I still have no idea what was going on

That clown with the glasses thinking it is a good idea to lecture the entire plane.

You’re in a confined shared space miles above the ground traveling just below the speed of sound. If you can’t behave stay home or take the bus.
... oh yeah? If they were traveling faster than the speed of sound, then how come people can hear each other? Oh wait...

Frontier. But pretty much the same.
Getting that way. Frontier used to be a business class airline, so some of that still lingers. I’d still much rather fly Frontier than Spirit. For now.

Nah, they act the same on trains too. Speed or altitude has no bearing on anything these days when it comes to some folks confined into tight areas.

The aisles on airliners need trap doors leading right outside the plane.
Bombs away!!!

We fly Allegiant out of Punta Gorda, for super cheap. It has always been a great experience. Tiny airport, roomy airplane seats, extensive list of snacks and alcohol for a decent price. It may be because that 90% of the plane is filled with old people that were on vacation, so everyone is pretty stress-free. Flying in to MD for less that $50/person, round-trip is pretty awesome.

Dude is right. We have been forced to take sides and it sucks.
But I’m shocked the usual suspects are in the middle of it. Shocker.

Watching videos like this make me want to tip my Flight Attendant for bringing me a Diet Coke and telling them “I know what you go through”.

Different level of confinement, though.
On a plane, you're stuck. You're told when you can stand, when to sit. Can't go anywhere except the bathroom. And you're in for the length of the flight, period.
On a train, you can move around at your leisure. Walk the length of the train to stretch your legs. Hell, there might even be a snack car. And if someone is just reaching the end of their rope, they can always just get off (or get thrown off) at the next stop.
I've said many times on here that major US cities are simply too far apart to make high speed rail commercially viable here. But the experience of being on a train, in and of itself? It kicks the shite out of flying by essentially every measure, and I say that as someone who doesn't in the least bit mind flying.
