No. My job keeps me here. Plus friends and family.

ETA: Food and LSU Football of course.

Add in “food and football” and you’ll be a perfect 5 for 5 on reasons the OT stays in LA.

This is such a lame excuse. You keep your friends and family and can visit at any time. Go out and make more friends for God sakes.

since I’ve moved away I get on a plane and visit family or friends about every 3 months on average. 4 hours on a plane isn’t all that bad.

I tell you what, for you single guys, the dating life is way more diverse here in Houston.

Went on a date with a girl from South Africa 2 weeks ago and plans to go out with an Egyptian girl tomorrow. She’s born and raised here but parents immigrated. Different world than trying to date when your borders are basically Lafayette and Hammond.

Trying to find a good Asian too. They’re everywhere around here and of course Hispanics. Hispanics culture is very nice and friendly and centered around family. Probably how all this will end up for me.

I travel a fair amount for work and get to see different places. I know there are better places out there. However, I get paid a pretty good amount of money and here I get to live comfortably. If I were to move to another state that has lots to offer, I wouldn't have the house I have now, I wouldn't be near friends and family, lsu, etc etc.

But ya know what, I can travel for work or play to all those cool spots. Louisiana is alright with me.

Moved away 20 years ago and lived in Houston area since. Family still in south Louisiana so visit often.

Family will likely be gone within next decade. It would be kind of sad if we lose all connections to Louisiana at that point. I’m hoping the state makes improvements by then because it would be worth considering moving back with a paid-for nice house.

My post was 100% about the different type of women here and absolutely nothing about me trying to make myself sound like a ladies man.

Once again, you've completely missed the point of what I was saying but whatever SS, keep being you.

Nope. Having lived in some of the nicest areas of FL, gimme LA all day everyday. For all it’s faults, LA is unique and the people make it a special place.

If AbitaFan08 is the type leaving LA we’ll be just fine. Douchenozzle is right at home in the Northeast.

Schools are one of the best reasons to leave Louisiana.

No doubt but they are in middle / high school, plus my wife teaches so we are just going to stick it out.
