I am fore sure. When in a really confined space I start getting panic attacks.

Never thought I was until I opened my eyes during an MRI.

Slightly yes. Mostly if I have to ride in the back row of an SUV and get super cramped

I actually feel comforted if anything by close confines.

I wouldn’t know about that. I’m not a woman.

It took 2 Xanax and my wife (no pics) holding my hand reassuring me the entire time. 3 false starts before I could finish. And it was just my shoulder

I'd been through multiple CTs/PETs over the years, and they were not totally comfortable but no big deal. I had a 45 minute MRI the other day and had to do a few breathing exercises. shite's for real.

Eta: I had to keep from having an OCD-induced panic attack by distracting myself from thinking stuff like "What is there was an earthquake, and everyone ran out and left me in this thing?" Yeah cuckoo.

I’m only really freaked out about the thought of squeezing into a small crack in a cave or a pipe or something that can’t be moved and is a really tight space. I don’t get anxious in elevators or anything like that. I’ve never experienced a panic attack, but I get anxious even thinking about really tight situations.

Wasn't as much when I was younger, it has gotten worse since I've gotten older.

Yep!

I don't want to die because they gonna put me in a little bitty box. I'm getting anxious just thinking about it.

Next time you have an MRI bring a sleep eye mask. Most labs have them but just in case they don't it's best to have your own. I wear it because I don't want to accidentally open my eyes while in the tube and see the ceiling that close to my face.

Yep. If my head has to go in the tube I have to be blindfolded. I still panic a little for the first minute or two.

In certain cases. Like if I'm playing with my kids and they all decide to pile on me, I'll be good until suddenly panic hits and I'm like the hulk busting through rubble. I also freaked out a few times when replacing a sink and hitting a spot where I felt squeezed on both sides by the cabinet wall and sink parts.

Well then you wouldn't have cared much for a job we used to have to do on C-130's during depot level maintenance.
Fittings which hold the outer wing to the inner wing (FYI pork chop fittings) need eddy current inspection for stress cracks. It's in a fuel tank section and there is only one way in and out of that area . After stepping down through a top access in the top of the wing you have to squeeze through the entry/exit hole.
The area where you do the inspections in all upper and lower corners is roughly the size of two coffins, side by side. And you have to be careful not to damage the fuel lines/controls in that wing section as well while turning and twisting to get to the inspection areas.

This is a pic of the entry area with the panel removed

Fun times....
