Weve spent all weekend decorating the inside of the house and putting up just the lights outside. With Thanksgiving falling so late this year we won't have much time to enjoy it before it goes back down if we didn't.
That said, we still aren't decorating the tree until the day after Thanksgiving.

This is how I’m feeling. We aren’t decorating til next weekend, but we aren’t waiting til after Thanksgiving. We’ll be out of town til Sunday night after Thanksgiving, which means even less time to enjoy it. If we’re putting in that much effort decorating, I want to enjoy it for more than 3 weeks.

I’ve never put a tree up before Thanksgiving but will this year. We have things going on the following two weekends and I don’t want to be that close to Christmas putting it up. We really enjoy Thanksgiving and for us it’s fun to sort of flip the switch the next day and go into Christmas mode so it’s not something that will happen regularly.

Always after. I may put lights on the house before but the tree always comes after

Normally, yes, unless Thanksgiving is late like it is this year. So, we’ll do it the weekend before. The kids enjoy it, so why not? This is also our first Christmas in our new house so that makes it more fun.

Is it bad if this is something I'm unwilling to compromise on with the SO?

Ours have been up for a week.

Off that day, so might as well put it up.

Christmas trees go up around December 15th and down on the 26th.

I’m 1,000% balls to the wall about Christmas, but only from post thanksgiving lunch - New Year’s Day or so when the decorations come down.
