For the price you pay IMO it's not worth it for what the benefit is... I have been using Coleman for years and have zero complaints.

In short, no. It's not that they don't perform well (they absolutely do), it's just that they aren't worth the price tag for what they do. You can find cheaper alternatives that perform just as well.

You are paying for the name and status symbol (for those who for some reason correlate status with the type of ice chest they use) when you get a Yeti.

I've had all of my Yeti's long before any of the knock offs came around and will still have them long after the knock offs go out of business.

Like other posters have said , the Yeti is awesome as long as you don't open it. In other words, don't use it.

I'm currently at the beach. Opening it for beer/snacks has proved that it doesn't keep ice any better than a Coleman/Igloo. I look FAF tho.

I also saw someone nearby with a cooler(looked like a Coleman) with a top that had an attachment to power a blender to make mixed drinks. It instantly trumped my yeti and I became envious.

A Yeti is a huge waste of money strictly for a straight up beer cooler.

I can understand if you're traveling a long distance with something you don't want to spoil, but most baws I see with them is just for show.

We used one to bring fish up to Colorado when we went on vacation. It worked well, kept everything frozen despite the 95 degree temps. The biggest flaw of the Yetis is that they are a huge target for thieves. If you bring it on the road always keep it with you. We had someone shatter the rear window and try to steal it. It didn't fit through the window so they didn't get it but driving on a long road trip with a visqueen rear window is torture. In general those ice chests have legs of their own.

I do too and if you use a Yeti for keeping food on ice for multiple days than it is worth the money.

As for that 350, you move it with a forklift?

just be a man and drink your drinks hot. Life is already too expensive, no sense in making it more expensive by being a pansy
