Are YETI coolers worth the coin?

I'm looking at getting the tundra 45 some time soon. The 45 quart is $350 but I have about $150 worth of unspent gift cards from Christmas. I hunt some, but would mostly be using it to keep my beer in while fishing/tailgating/cookouts. I've always gone the $50 Coleman route because $350 is a lot to drop on a cooler, but it seems like I've bought 10 of those. Any feedback is appreciated. TIA

The stickers are worth there weight in gold, so yes...

IF you're constantly opening it, it's not going to keep ice too much longer than any decent cooler. They are extremely durable and functional though. There are cheaper alternatives, so you'repaying a premium for the name. But YETIs do work.

No. Get the Igloo Extreme. Half the price with the same performance.

The 55qt Igloo sportsman cooler, basically the same thing, is $199.00 at Sams right now. I saw about 10 of them in there today.

I can understand if you're traveling a long distance with something you don't want to spoil, but most baws I see with them is just for show.

I carry this in my truck. Keeps ice for a good 3 days even in this fricking heat. I work alot in the field with my O&G job and bring my lunch, so it is a PIA to constantly get ice every day with the cheaper coolers.
Plus the stickers are nice baw.

In short, no. It's not that they don't perform well (they absolutely do), it's just that they aren't worth the price tag for what they do. You can find cheaper alternatives that perform just as well.
You are paying for the name and status symbol (for those who for some reason correlate status with the type of ice chest they use) when you get a Yeti.

Do you mean the Igloo Sportsman?

Absolutely. Everyone needs to keep ice for 38 days at a time.
