I don’t know about that, but what I do now is that a buddy of mine hired an escort while out there and the girl that showed up to his room looked absolutely nothing like she did in the photographs

For married men it is more about a low risk of discovery. A prostitute is far less likely to talk than a side piece. Prostitutes are transactional. It doesn't matter if attractive or not, it's about risk tolerance.
Blackmail is a possibility but there is some mutually assured destruction that prevents that I suppose.

You can literally go to a state-regulated brothel an hour away from Vegas. It’s completely legal, regulated, and all of the courtesans are tested every week for STDs.
