Are public restrooms trashy?

So today I was driving to Marksville for a family gathering. I had been driving for a while when suddenly my bean burritos from El Dorado I had previously eaten the night before caught up with me. Well, I knew I couldn’t outrun the shits, so I pull in to a Hardee’s in Simmesport, LA. Talk about a literal shitshow. There was piss all over the toilets and ground, and I saw a little shite on the ground too. A few toilets were clogged as well. I won’t go into details but it was the least pleasurable experience of my life. But this brings me to a greater issue. Public restrooms are terrible everywhere. In my opinion it’s quite trashy to use them frequently. It’s obvious that they aren’t well kept, and it is infinitely better to use one’s own personal private restroom. Does the OT agree? Also, don’t even get me started on sporting event restrooms. Death Valley’s bathrooms might as well be the 7th circle of hell.

ETA: For any of you baws who may travel to Wisconsin or Illinois. Find yourself a Woodman's grocery store to poop in. They have a dozen rolls of tp in each stall, all different brands. It's like taking a tp test drive

Taking a deuce at Nordstrom is high living and the furthest thing from trashy. I highly recommend it.

Tldr for mingo: public restrooms suck. And yes I’ve been to Bucees and I had to wait like 15 minutes to shite.

Pro tip; find a dollar general (they are literally everywhere) and use theirs. The newer the structure the better. The workers hold the key for the restroom at the register because they dont want people going in there and using it to hide things to steal. On top of that, that is the restroom they use too, so they keep it clean.
They are generally clean, roomy and have decent TP. Plus, you hold the key, no one else can come in.

In Spain at the Madrid train station they had some pay toilets that were about a dollar and it was a very nice bathroom with an attendant, art in the stall and classical music playing. Best dollar (Euro) ever spent.

I've always enjoyed the bathroom at the Pilot truck stop in Laplace. Unfortunately it was closed last night but I could hold it until I got home.

Pro tip, just about any Flying J truck stop that has a driver's lounge has a second unadvertised set of restrooms that are generally super clean just past the lounge. Add in the full real door and it's about the best you can get on the go.

Another Pro Tip
Depending on where you are look for a mid range hotel. Hampton, Hilton Garden, Courtyard, etc. They always have clean bathrooms down by the lobby and they’re rarely used. Walk in like you belong there - nobody cares.
He’ll...you can even grab a cup of coffee in the morning if you want.

This entire concept of what is trashy and what isn't has gotten out of control.
Yes, certain things are inherently trashy. And certain things can be trashy if done improperly.
But things like using a public restroom are a matter of human necessity unless you are a shut in. Some public restrooms are much nicer than others, but if you're a functioning member of society, eventually you'll be in a public place and need to use the facilities.
How you conduct yourself as a member of society in said restrooms can be trashy or not, but the use of them is not inherently trashy.

It was an option. They had regular toilets. I upgraded and it was great. I like that option and it was a private company running it. Think about a nice place to take a dump at LSU game. I would guess you could charge $20 bucks and make money. I would pay it.

Going across the causeway I felt the rumbling..I hit the Shell station right when you get off the bridge. I barely made it in..
In the trash can were a pair of heavily soiled boxers..The poor bastard didn't make it..
