Are Crocs and cargo shorts good July 4 gear?

I’ve been wearing some cargo shorts and camouflage Crocs all day long while my family and I drink beer, drink whiskey, and eat German food.
We had multiple types of sausages, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, beet salad, multiple types of beer, cheese, and whiskey.
A large percentage of Americans have German heritage, so we figured it would be ok to have a big German meal for July 4.
I think cargo shorts and Crocs are about as American as it gets, so I feel like we have done a good job of celebrating the 4th. However, some people always are critical of my Crocs. They say they’re ugly. I don’t really care though. They’re comfortable, convenient to put on, and easy to wash. What else could you ask for?

Crocs and cargo shorts are good gear all the time. Once you come to terms with "frick it, I don't care if they look white trash" they are easy to embrace. Fashion is for young shitheads. Function over form is wisdom that comes with age.

Throw in a American flag tank top and you've got the official uniform of 'Murica. Can substitute American flag t-shirt with sleeves cut off. Bonus points for American flag custom crocs.

So are 95% of shorts and flip flops/sandals you would buy. Unless you’re buying expensive linen shorts or suede sandals, it’s all the same shite. Just say that you like it and stop trying to invent excuses

Lite ride crocs are slightly less trashy. But in the words of dimebag darrell “it’s hard being first class when you’re white trash” Maybe just do you and don’t worry what others think.
