Personally, I’ve had a gun pulled on me by a small city officer during a road block, while both my hands were on the steering wheel and my pistol was sitting in the cup holder. I’m speaking to a cop on the drivers side, while another officer walked around to the passenger side, started yelling “gun, gun!”, while pointing his weapon at me.

You should have pointed that out first thing and kept your hands on the wheel.

Watch one of those Ahmuad Aubrey interactions. Hes never calm, cursing out officers, raising his voice, stepping towards them with his hands reaching in his pockets. Y'all are an emotional wreck.

It's no different at work.young black men get all emotional when you try and give them guidence or show them the right way. They refuse to handle any type of authority with respect. Because black men are not present for their children.

Fire a white man and you never see him again. Fire a black man and you better lawyer up and better have documented every little small infraction he committed.

it’s sadly not that simple.

Why? Because of some genetic compulsion to act like an arse? Because they are felons in possession of firearms? They have attachment out on them? They are in possessions of illegal substances? Why isn't it simple?

The very first thing you should be when pulled over is let the officer know that you have a weapon in the vehicle. at that point the office will ask you to exit the vehicle and where the weapon is located. next the officer will locate the weapon and store it in his vehicle until he has completed the reason he pulled you over after that he will return your weapon to you

Yes. As a black man, every interaction with police you fear for your life.

Are you equally scared of your black friends and relatives?

Statistically speaking, you are more likely to be killed by a black person than some random white cop.....truth hurts.

You do realize this has nothing to do with you being black, correct? It’s because you had a gun sitting in your cup holder during a traffic stop.

wrong, it was bc the cop was a little pussy. It's not a crime or inappropriate to have a gun in a cup holder. Cops need to stop being little sissies about citizens having guns.

Must Inform Officer Immediately on Contact By Law?

“YES”

I think they are.
Now, is it a rational fear?
No, the data proves it.

But, they just choose to ignore the numbers.

I’m going to repeat something I said in another thread: “If you put yourself in position to get brutalized by the police, I’m not going to say you deserve it - but your life choices are probably a bigger problem than your race.”

I don’t think too many upstanding citizens have to worry about getting beat up or killed by cops.

As a white man i had been pulled over and road blocked because I looked like and my car looked like someone of interest. Shotguns raised and handguns raised and pointed at me. I stood still and it took a few minutes to tell me what was going on. I just hoped no one got the nervous twitch and blasted me. Afraid at the moment -yes. Nervous laughter ensued afterwards.

As a black man in America, its not always about doing something wrong and not acting an arse. A white person can seemingly act an arse and do something wrong and won't necessarily have a gun pulled out on them.

Maybe not to you but there is a stigma when it comes to stuff like that. If you were black you'd know but im assuming you're not so you won't get it. I've been pulled over before just because of the car I drive. Yet my white counterpart would never be.

A in being honest, some cops out there do see african americans as a possible threat because "what if" he's carrying and reaches for his wallet but they think its a gun. One example is Philando Castile

Not saying you’re wrong. I’m just saying if you keep your nose clean and cooperate with the police if they approach you (guilty or innocent) I think you will avoid getting your arse whipped.

So.... you admit that the cop had you at gun point because they were scared, and not because you're black.

They had a segment on the news that mentioned only 10 unarmed African Americans were killed by police in 2019. Out of them 10, 8 were proven to be self defense and were not charged.

48 cops were killed in felonious acts in 2019.

Even if I were to believe these numbers... 1 million cops vs 327 million citizens. The per capita numbers seem a bit unequal.
