Who are you to tell someone how they feel? Someone asked the question and he answered honestly. If you're going to condemn him for honestly answering the question then condemn Brees too.

EVERY fricking interaction with the police you "fear for your life"?
Get fricking real. If so, what a complete pussy.

Personally, I’ve had a gun pulled on me by a small city officer during a road block, while both my hands were on the steering wheel and my pistol was sitting in the cup holder. I’m speaking to a cop on the drivers side, while another officer walked around to the passenger side, started yelling “gun, gun!”, while pointing his weapon at me.
I appreciate you answered the question without being nasty.
What if though police also scare the shite out of someone who isn't black and law abiding.
I have had police take advantage of me, but I also recognize they all aren't like that. This is why I am 100% in favor of all cops wearing body cams on duty. I am not saying this is enough though.
I respect the job of a police officer, because I could never imagine doing that job. I still have concerns about some cops that lack situational awareness. Poor policing, while likely rare, is still a concern for me.

That's a big no no for all races and genders. I was always taught that your hands go 10 & 2 until the cop comes up and communicates. I've been pulled over twice in my life (and was a passenger 3 other times) and have never been scared if anything more than a ticket.
I did get a bullshite county instead of campus ticket for U turning into a parking lot whose entrance was less than 5 feet from the corner. The cops got pissed that I dropped off what I needed between them putting on their lights and them actually making it over to me. Didn't even know they had the option between the two. Should've screamed racism as neither was white.

It’s a bullshite story that’s caught on because they got it from their incompetent leadership and it gets them their look at me attention

Heck, I get nervous when I’m pulled over by police. At home and even in school, we were taught the rules of getting pulled over.

If blacks are scared they’ll be killed by the police, why do so many of them resist arrest? (including George Floyd who did indeed resist arrest by flailing & flopping at the police car door).
I mean its just an unnatural reaction on the face of it.....you’d be walking on eggshells afraid to do anything wrong if you’re that fearful.

Because you are told at a young age not to trust the cops.
This is very true. I was working a black social club event with a female deputy several years ago when three or four young children wandered into the office where we were talking and proceeded to ask the deputy a number of questions....the first one being “why do the ‘PO-lice’ like to kill black people?” When she asked where they heard that from, “my momma told us.”
This is a HUGE problem and as long as this is going on, I don’t know what hope we have for positive interactions between black people and police, in general.

In 2019 police officers fatally shot 1,004 people, most of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops last year (235), a ratio that has remained stable since 2015. That share of black victims is less than what the black crime rate would predict, since police shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects. In 2018, the latest year for which such data have been published, African-Americans made up 53% of known homicide offenders in the U.S. and commit about 60% of robberies, though they are 13% of the population.
Can someone provide a somewhat credible link to these statistics? I want to shove them up some people's asses.

No, but it gets attention to say it.

NO, they are not, thinking they do contributes to idiocy.

You do realize why they are like this right? They are way more scared of you than you are of them. Maybe instead of blaming cops for their fear and callousness towards blacks you guys should start asking YOURSELVES what you can do to change the perception that you are bad. This is not a white issue. This is an African American issue that stems from fatherless homes and an ignorance embracing culture.

Yeah. And cops are equally scared of them too. I think that’s part of the reason these things happen as much as they do

You should be even more scared of every black man you encounter.
Statistically, they're waaaay more likely to kill you.
So, based on YOUR LOGIC, are you more scared of black men than cops?
If not, frick off. Tired of this shite.

Well statistically the cop is the one more likely to not survive the encounter.

Maybe you can drop a few more names. One incident is quite anectodal.
Hell, I can name more whites killed by police than you can name blacks.

I'm black and I've been pulled over a lot cause I have a heavy foot. I can't think of any instance where I was scared. I've had some assholes like everyone else, but I've never though that I was gonna lose my life.

Hearing it everywhere - constantly.
Read a post yesterday-
"I can't breathe, when I see a cop in my rear view mirror for fear I'll be killed".
"I can't breathe, thinking that my children will have to worry for their lives every time they step out of the house".
All of the lines of B.S. started out with the Floyd, "I can't breathe"
It's hyperbole to the extreme.
