Heard a lot of people say things like this the last few days. Couldn’t imagine, I’m always worried about what it will cost and more pissed than anything

Why should they be scared if they aren’t doing anything wrong & don’t act an arse?

Yes. As a black man, every interaction with police you fear for your life.

Personally, I’ve had a gun pulled on me by a small city officer during a road block, while both my hands were on the steering wheel and my pistol was sitting in the cup holder. I’m speaking to a cop on the drivers side, while another officer walked around to the passenger side, started yelling “gun, gun!”, while pointing his weapon at me.

Young black people are being told by their elders and community leaders to be scared of the police.

So, yes, they’re scared of the police.

Seems simple, right? But if you are black, it’s sadly not that simple. Not by a long shot.

You do realize this has nothing to do with you being black, correct? It’s because you had a gun sitting in your cup holder during a traffic stop.

So if a black person doesn’t make a complete stop at a stop sign & a cop pulls them over they are actually fearful they are fixing to die?

Pull over, be respectful, have your valid license, registration and insurance card ready. Don’t make sudden or suspicious movements. I feel like it’s a pretty simple formula to not have any trouble.

Hmm... It's almost as if you being black had nothing to do with it.

Because of things that have actually happened to you, or because of movies, TV, stories from friends and family?

In 2019 police officers fatally shot 1,004 people, most of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops last year (235), a ratio that has remained stable since 2015. That share of black victims is less than what the black crime rate would predict, since police shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects. In 2018, the latest year for which such data have been published, African-Americans made up 53% of known homicide offenders in the U.S. and commit about 60% of robberies, though they are 13% of the population.

Because you are told at a young age not to trust the cops. Then the media reminds you every day. Even though more white people are killed by cops than black people.

j have plenty of black people i consider friends. They are all of a certain level of education and not impoverished. Shockingly they do not seem to have problems or act the victim except towards taxes.

Meh, 7th you know me.
I have a LTC here in Texas and I have a 9mm GLock secured under my seat In my truck, unless going to work, at all times. I’ve been pulled over once since obtaining my LTC and the white deputy was nervous AF about where my weapon was when the ran my plates and saw I had an LTC, thus likely had a weapon in the truck. You too would be nervous pulling over anyone with a pistol out in the open like that. Poor example

They had a segment on the news that mentioned only 10 unarmed African Americans were killed by police in 2019. Out of them 10, 8 were proven to be self defense and were not charged.

48 cops were killed in felonious acts in 2019.
