I’m white and had a cop pull a gun on me during a traffic stop
Can we stop acting like you have to be black to have a bad interaction with crappy police officers?

This ^^^^^
It happens to every race. The media is only interested if it’s a white cop and a black suspect because anything else wouldn’t support the narrative they’ve been working so hard to create.

Shouldn’t they be more scared of their own people since they are more likely to killed by them.

fricking A!
9 "unarmed" blacks were killed by police last year.
22 whites.
Being that blacks commit more murders than whites they are less likely to be killed when correct for violent behavior.
I'm tired of most people being uninformed idiots.

Seems simple, right? But if you are black, it’s sadly not that simple. Not by a long shot
Serious question to you or anybody. Do you think other minorities are scared when being pulled over ? Chinese, Korean, Indian , Vietnamese ? If no , why not ?

He was killed by a Hispanic cop.
He also was high AF. Acted weird.
I don't mix guns and beer.
Bad idea.
He was a good guy apparently.
Just a fricked up situation.
Not representative of reality.

If blacks are answering the question honestly and admitting as much that's one thing. The next question is why.
One set of answers includes systemic racism, profiling, etc.
If blacks have pre-conditioned themselves (justified or not) to believe cops are out to get them, then that becomes the lens through which they view "getting pulled over."
FTR, white folks get pulled over for "stupid stuff" as well. In the last 3-4 years I've been stopped for doing 27 in a 20, 74 in a 70. My wife was fined $182 for rolling through a useless stop sign.

Bingo
It's the a-hole test.
If, as a white man, I encounter an a-hole while walking down the street or driving on the road, I chalk it up to the person being an a-hole. If a black man encounters the same a-hole, they're preconditioned to think he's being an a-hole to them because he's racist - ignoring the fact that he's just an a-hole.
I have zero doubt that there were many interactions in the wake of the Civil Rights movement that colored the perception of many blacks living in America. However, the statistics don't bare this kind of treatment out anymore (from what I can tell at least).
What I find most disturbing is that instead of trying to eliminate the perception which causes the feeling of racism in the recipient, the BLM movement is swinging the other way - trying to amplify this perception.
I still have yet to see any indication that Chauvin was racist. I think he was just a shitty cop. Racism is rarely the default setting - negligence and piss poor performance are far more likely.

Personally, I’ve had a gun pulled on me by a small city officer during a road block, while both my hands were on the steering wheel and my pistol was sitting in the cup holder. I’m speaking to a cop on the drivers side, while another officer walked around to the passenger side, started yelling “gun, gun!”, while pointing his weapon at me.
That happens to almost everyone. The first thing they do is draw their guns and make sure that you are seperated from the gun until the stop ends. If it was in the cup holder was there a violation of the law (not having a CCW/not having it properly stored)?
Starting your post brought to mind my only interaction with MS police. I (with another white guy) drove my friend from Starkville to Alcorn State and back so he could have a weekend with his ladyfriend from online. On the way there we ran into a roadblock just after getting on the Natchez Trail. Cop looked at me and then kept staring into the back seat. Awkward AF. Fast forward 3 years, same group except adding another friend (2w/2b) while I was int the passenger seat on the way from Corinth to RAW at the Pyramid. Pulled over for speeding in Germantown on the easy there. Pulled over again (within a mile of the afternoon stop) for speeding afterwards. That time they looked at everybody's IDs... glanced and handed back my license, took the other 3, and came back with a ticket and a nasty look to the back and then at us.
That's why I still get pissed off with the "you don't understand" shite with ALM...I've seen it up close. I don't need to be told how I should feel and that I am clueless. If you've shared that experience you know a lot more than some white NYC BLM marching bitch reading off the bullet points of "privilege" and "you're not black so you wouldn't understand". Really pisses me off when they say "you're part of the problem" because I hate CK's shite despite actually agreeing that there is a problem.

real question , and not trying to be a dick: have you ever had a black friend?
It's like people have never had a honest conversation with a black person in their lives.

Many of them are. And it’s mostly due to liberals convincing them that cops are out to kill them all. Sort of how blacks still think the actual KKK is still out there lurking behind every corner.

Yeah I'm sure it has nothing to do with any other factors......

For blacks that are nervous, you are twice as likely to be killed by a bolt of lightning

Several years ago, I was driving from Kenner to Baton Rouge at 11:00 at night. A state trooper pulled me over about a mile before highway 44 exit in Gonzales.
He told me to get out of the car which I did. I was putting my keys in my pocket and he shouted “ let me see those hands”. He had his gun drawn and I had my hands up as I was led to the back of my car.
He told me that a driver of a big rig radioed him and said I was following too close behind him. I was given a warning.

In 2019 police officers fatally shot 1,004 people, most of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops last year (235), a ratio that has remained stable since 2015. That share of black victims is less than what the black crime rate would predict, since police shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects. In 2018, the latest year for which such data have been published, African-Americans made up 53% of known homicide offenders in the U.S. and commit about 60% of robberies, though they are 13% of the population.
But wait, these facts don't go along with the firehose of emotion being sprayed at the easily manipulated, weak minded American public.
