Like, the actual one.
quote:

Turkish archaeologists excavating the site of the city of Troy on the hills of Hisarlik have discovered a large wooden structure that they believe are the remains of the Trojan Horse. These excavations include dozens of fir planks and beams up to 15 meters (49 feet) long, assembled in a strange form.
The wooden structure was found inside the walls of the ancient city of Troy.
Interesting, but kinda meh on the substance. However
quote:

Archaeologists also discovered a damaged bronze plate with the inscription, “For their return home, the Greeks dedicate this offering to Athena.” Quintus Smyrnaeus refers to this plate in his epic poem "Posthomerica."
is very interesting.

It's worth entertaining the thought, at least. The city was said to have been immediately destroyed, never to be occupied again, so it makes sense that the wood was never repurposed or taken away.

My first thought was how wasn't it burned in the destruction of the city?

And then sell it to someone on eBay for $4.25 minus all associated fees, then claim how much money he makes on these sales.

So Trojan horses underground are still part of history, just like monuments in city property. Guess that means racism wasn’t solved.

All the cool old shite is in Turkey

Gobekli Tepe isn't mentioned in old books, but that's because it was abandoned even thousands of years before books were invented.

12,000 years or so. That predates the civilization of Sumer, considered by most to be the first real 'Civilization' by 6000 freaking years. Pretty much right after the last ice age. It also looks like they filled it in themselves before abandoning it as if to preserve it.

Maybe they shouldn't open it once they've got it all out.

An old fake news, first published in 2014 by the satirical website worldnewsdailyreport, and recirculated ever since. Shame that JP is not checking its sources..

Apparently not.
