In 2009, an anonymous user posted a curious question on the now-defunct Yahoo! Answers website: They wanted to know if anybody remembered a movie from the ‘90s in which Sinbad, the comedian, played a genie. No one did, and that likely had something to do with the fact that no such film exists. However, within a few years, other people started popping up with stories about seeing the movie, sharing plot details, and claiming that it was called Shazaam.

I remember the movie Kazaam where Shaq was a genie.

Might be thinking Kazaam.
The star was Shaq, not Sinbad.

We can run an experiment.
Everyone who thinks they saw this movie needs to type out what you remember from the plot. Was there a child protagonist? Boy? Girl? How did they find the genie? Who was the antagonist? What was the main conflict? Was there a friend? love interest? What was the final resolution? What were some locations and set pieces?
Give as much detail as you can about the movie.
Don't read anyone else's response to this and we will compare to see how much overlap exists in your memories.

Sinbad said he did the movie because he was smoking a lot of crack.

Humans have poor memories that tends to make things up. Who would have ever guessed? Exactly why eye witnesses are remarkably unreliable

I think I just had the name confused and wonder if everyone else did too once the word Shazaam started getting thrown around. I don’t recall ever personally seeing Sinbad as a genie but can see Shaq in the whole get up/garb

The one Mandela effect that is absolute bullshite is the fruit of the loom cornucopia never existing. I mean it may have been a limited time promotional thing but i absolutely used to have underwear and undershirts with that bastard on it when i was a kid.

quote:im 100% with you on that one. I know I had shirts and underwear in the 90s with that cornucopia logo on them. Was a 90s kid though so outgrew them all and they all got donated or thrown out I assume so no proof left over in my closets but I only remember their logo with the cornucopia, not without it
