Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport 23 hrs · Southwest ticket counter wait times are approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please arrive extra early if you plan to check luggage.

Essence traffic going home, of course. But thank goodness Southwest will have bag drop kiosks at the new terminal. Waiting an hour and 10 min to check a bag is absolutely insane.

The line for curbside check in for Southwest was out past the overhang. Haven't seen it that way in a while.

I can do 3-4 night trip with just a carryon, my wife, 2 nights max.

This wasn't the security line. No idea how that was but I'm sure it wasn't pretty.

I do this. The problem is when people throw 3 items in the overhead bin instead of putting one in overhead storage and the rest under the seat. If you're in the second half of passengers boarding you frickt

Flew SW out of MSY last year. The line was probably 100 people deep, none of the kiosks were working, one employee was checking people and bags in, and 4 employees were standing around behind the counter socializing and playing on their phones. Gotta love LA service.

This. National companies can come into this market, but they are only as good as the locals they hire.

What? Maybe a winter trip, but this time of year, my wife and I can go for 5 days no problem

I could do a month. I almost never check bags in even for international trips.

For some reason SW is really bad in New Orleans. I've never had to wait that long with them at PHX though

The SW line does get long, but I've never seen their employees lollygagging when it was... I smell some BS..

Not really a problem with Southwest. Since you can check 2 bags for free, people aren't as likely to have 50lb duffel bags as their carry on.

Flew to and from Denver on full flights with no issues two weeks ago. Additionally, there was no line for checking bags and nobody in line at security. I guess it all depends on when you fly.

used to do 9-14 day CRAF trips with a roll aboard and a small back pack, had room to bring back goodies, went to Oktoberfest for two weeks last fall with the same, had plenty of room, people just don't know how to pack efficiently, and most folks, irregardless of what they may believe, aren't very good at traveling

My daughter was trying to get back to MSY last night from JFK, her flight was supposed to leave at 8:00 last night and didnt end up leaving until 12:30 am. She didnt get home and in bed until 4am

I had a client that flew in from Turks Sunday night....he was trying to get to MSY and got stuck in immigration in Miami for 6 hours....he said they told him they were so short staffed because all the immigration officers are at the border.

Our airports are a shite show right now
