Baton Rouge native rapper NBA Youngboy says he is moving to South Korea permanently.

Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, announced his intentions to move to Korea

When asked if he would ever return to live in the United States, Gaulden said: "Never in life."

"It's very safe here and clean," the 26-year-old rapper said.

Gaulden has had a series of legal issues, including being sentenced to 23 months in prison after a conviction on gun charges in Utah. In May 2025, President Donald Trump pardoned Gaulden.

One has to wonder why. What exactly is the difference?

It might be wise for him to take a look at how criminals get treated first because he could end up in some trouble

I have an idea. Let every rapper and their fan bases move to Korea.

Then provide a 'safe and clean' report in a year.

Kentrell, good luck young man. Hopefully the South Koreans have the programs and community resources you need to avoid a life of crime.

He was sentenced to 23 months in a Utah prison for a gun conviction, and was pardoned by Trump.

I feel like if you’re a normal person, like the majority of this board, Japan or South Korea would be very reasonable places for Americans to live. Those two countries are very clean and seem to have lots of respect for one another. For someone who’s always doing and involved in controversial things, it may not be the best idea lol

He's a convicted felon from a 2017 conviction for aggravated assault with a firearm following a drive-by shooting in Baton Rouge. In November 2024, he pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud and two counts of third-degree felony forgery. Pretty much a habitual offender.
