the O-T lurking conspiracy theorists / hoaxers aside, as their brand of cultural vandalism is but a childish need to sour the greatness of that day...
but less than a decade after JFK set the goal, thousands of engineers, scientists, fabricators, electricians and other workers in Houston, New Orleans, Huntsville, Miss. Gulf Coast, Titusville, Bethpage NY, Downey CA and numerous other locations combined their mastery of orbital physics, rocketry, spacecraft design, aerospace, sewing, computer design, aluminum welding and dozens of other disciplines, and achieved a goal dreamed about for thousands of years.
Here's to the humans who dreamed about it, the ones who made it happen, and the three who climbed into that command module at Cape Canaveral/Kennedy and ultimately, forty-nine years ago today, took One Small Step for a Man, One Giant Leap for Mankind.

President Richard Nixon actually had a statement ready to go in case those boys didn't make it back home.

Sending a man to the moon and returning him safely to the surface of the Earth is the greatest accomplisment of mankind.

Had it not been for Ww2, Germany would have been first to the moon.

no one has the guts to explain this photo. Its pretty damning evidence.

You seem like an intelligent person, but what is the need to explain the photo there? To rank tinfoil hat conspiracy theories, the only one more wacko than not believing in the moon landings is to believe in a flat earth.
The six Lunar landings did happen, and have been independently verified by other nations with no reason to give the US credit for "faking them".
Every single "problem" that the conspiracy folks have identified can be so easily explained, if one has an open mind. The "evidence" you speak of is so easily debunked. Its hard to believe you people really exist.

I know right, No one can prove to me that Earth in the background isn't flat.
