While the public hasn't seen it, wouldn't the hall security cameras from floor 32 at the Mandalay Bay be able to easily discredit any arms deals, etc by seeing who went in or out of the suite?

And that's due to how said tragedy is framed by our "news". We have wall-to-wall coverage of Roger Stone being indicted for lying, a couple of teenagers smirking at an Indian and fake news about the President telling his former lawyer to lie, the last two of which are debunked only hours later. This is what counts as news. Critical analysis on the deadliest shooting in American history? Nah. And we act shocked when people choose to disbelieve what they're told.

That has been part of the "bias" discussion for years. What the media DOES cover versus what they do NOT cover. Bernie Goldberg told us that in his book Bias 20+ years ago.
It was more important to dox Nicholas Sandmann before the exonerating videos came out than to cover a mass shooting. Of course the shooting was at a country music concert and no one goes to those....(according to people like those laid off last week at HuffPo and BuzzFeed.)

Right but if you complain about them doing a shitty biased job of covering the topics they do cover, why would you want them to cover this? To see more shitty, biased reports?

"We provide breaking, important news" is the general slogan but obviously isn't true.
So they say one thing and are another and get offended when called fake and upset when no one takes them seriously to the point that they lose their audience resulting in the firing of entire sections.

There is no explanation whatsoever for why the story of one of the deadliest mass murders in US history has been basically buried with no motive, explanation, etc. other than that the guy just wanted to shoot some people.
I don’t necessarily subscribe to the theory that it was a CIA coverup, but something isn’t right here.

How much coverage do you guys really expect to see a year and a half later? The nature of news is that they report on things that are happening right now. MAGA kid, Roger Stone and Cohen are all current events. The Las Vegas shooting isn't. Acting like the fact that old events fade out of the news is evidence of some sort of conspiracy is just dumb.

All with pretty easily exploitable narratives. Muh kids need gun control, muh hands up don't shoot, or muh cotton balls.
This one didn't have that. There was really only one lady who came out for gun control and that was only after the thousand oaks shooting. Her son was at Vegas and survived but died there. Not a lot of overlap between country music fans and gun control advocates.

And you're acting like the Las Vegas shooting didn't dominate the news cycles a year and a half ago. You don't remember the news telling us about his Philippino girlfriend, the money he wired her or all about his gambling habits? Didn't the news find out he spent $1.5 Million in the months leading up to the shooting and tell us all about it? You're acting like the shooting happened and then disappeared overnight. We know a frick ton about that guy's life because the news told us all about it. What we don't know is why he freaked out, but if you actually read that article, you know the NEWS article, that was linked it isn't hard to guess..... Guy was a narcissist and clinically depressed with a chemical imbalance. He refused antidepressants and his doctor told him he couldn't be cured, so he decided to go out in a blaze of glory and hoped he would be famous forever.

There are 1000 different and easier ways that a guy bent simply on infamy and casualties could have carried it out as opposed to a complicated process spanning many weeks of planning, logistics and execution.
The more elaborate the plan the greater chances of failure. And if your only goal is infamy and to go out in a blaze, getting foiled prematurely is actually worse than dying.

I cannot wait until they make the same retroactive enactment on AR-15s. Trump and his boys did a number with this one. Once a Democrat becomes President they will use this precedent to take lawfully purchased items without just compensation. It’s a terrible precedent.

And that's at the heart of peoples' gripes with the "fake news" media. People want the media to report on important events, not just events that can be used as pawns to push an agenda.

It is possible that they aren't releasing more info becaus it's that rare case where there really isn't ties to anything else, or motive that he wanted to go out with a bang.
