Ketamine therapy involves using low doses of the anesthetic ketamine, or its derivative esketamine (Spravato), to treat conditions like treatment-resistant depression, major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation, and certain chronic pain syndromes. It is typically administered in a controlled medical setting due to potential side effects and the need for patient monitoring. Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Clinic +3

Sounds like she is depressed.

I’d be depressed too if I had to put on some fake front 20 hours a day acting like the world is ending and every is suppressed and there’s not hope for humanity without crazy change and reelecting socialist wackos

I can fix her.

Maybe. Worth a try.

But then again the last thing I need is having her following me around like a lost puppy while yapping about democratic socialism.

I’m overthinking it. Let’s try. For her benefit.

Calling it controversial is funny at this point. It's widely accepted as a valid, evidence-based treatment for treatment resistant depression. They're not giving people street ketamine. And has a hell of lot less side effects than SSRIs.

Unfortunately, insurance often doesn't want to cover it in IV form unless you've taken a laundry list of anti-depressants. They are starting to cover nasal administration (Spravato).

That well may be true, but you still can't use campaign donation funds to pay for it.

Well, apparently unless you're a democrat.

Ketamine therapy is great. Good dissociative drug that for me was really helpful in identifying negative self messaging and sabotage in my life. Has a lot of promise for addiction too IMO

I read a lot of medical journals and ketamine and psychedelic therapy will replace SSRIs by 2030

They are almost FDA approved and the results are staggering

She answered a casting call and had an audition to become a politician.

Nothing surprises me anymore.

Well, sure.

I took the context as the article calling the treatment controversial. And even going so far as suggesting she's a "junky" because she got the treatment. Just pointing out that it's really not at this point.

She should be indicted for this. But the house ethics committee will make her pay it back and give her a slap on the wrist. Freaking crooks.
