Mail order brides. They’ll be hard to come by with the ports closed.

I just stocked up on all of my essentials so I don’t have to fight the normies when they find out about the strike and panic buy stuff that’s not even imported via ports on strike

Something just seems fishy about this. Surprised the stock market isn't reacting to it. Makes me think there is something going on behind the scenes we don't know.

There is currently no shortage so go ahead and create one. Nice plan.

If push comes to shove, maybe I'll subscribe to the NY Times and use that as TP. Might be cheaper anyway.

I understand (from reliable sources) that Costco is already running very low on tp.

Refill prescriptions, have a well-stocked first aid kit, fill up all your cars and gas cans, and stock up on beans, rice, non-perishables.

Most people can't stock up. They can barely pay the bills as it is.

Fruit, nuts and wine. Those prices will increase in the coming days. The Fed foolishly lowering rates by half a percent was going to increase the prices on all commodities any way. The listed items will see larger increases due to scarcity in some areas. If you or your kids eat lots of Peanut/Almond Butter or trail mix I'd stock up today.

If you're going to make a large furniture purchase maybe go ahead and buy now. Pick something out that is currently stocked in a DC cause who knows when you'll receive it from overseas.

Mostly 1st world uptown stuff at the end of the day.

Just got off the phone with someone who is very worried about this very thing. Lots of nuts, bolts , screws and iron fasteners are manufactured in Germany. These items seeing any type of scarcity are a huge cause for concern. I also worry about electrical equipment.

The Sam's Club near my house had a normal supply of TP (we were already running low, so I picked up some).

But remember, even though it is made in the USA, it uses a mix of domestic and imported materials. So, the port strike could mess up things.
