re: Anything more lame than Disney World on a honeymoon?

What? This is dumb. You don't need a kid to go to a theme park. Hell, I've been to Epcot with a bunch of engineers because we had a conference at one of the hotels on site and wanted to go drink around the world at Epcot and get some Canadian steaks on the company dime.
Went with my wife before we got married and a few times after before we had our kid. Been to Universal a ton without the kid. She has family that live in Orlando, one that works for Universal so we go for free there. We went to Disney a few times though and it was just to go have fun.

Some of the Disney freaks are definitely odd, but most of the adults without kids are just having a good time enjoying a vacation.

Yeah, the only reason the OP could be this upset over Disney is because his mom won't take him there this summer. Poor kid...

View of Magic Kingdom from the California Grill during the fireworks show.
Epcot Wine Walk during the Food and Drink Festival
Rose and Crown Pub during Illuminations.
Wild Africa Trek through Animal Kingdom
Disney Dive Quest at Epcot

At least they not Tennessee fans. That would really be embarrassing

While Disney might be an amusement park, it's one with that the target age group is 3-6 children. I wouldn't go to any amusement park with adults only just cause I have other interests in life, but adults at Disney without kids is weird.
Maybe there are awesome adult activities I know nothing about, but the adults I see with their socks pulled up to the knee's, fanny packs and ears lined up to take pictures with characters seems odd.
Not everybody has the same interests and I know plenty of adults who look upon my football tailgating as strange. I get it.
There's just a lot of people who view you Disney loving adults the same as most people view the adult male My Little Pony fan club members.

Lmao whatever. Scroll up to see some of the activities. There are also rides and attractions that a 3-6 year old can't even go on much less get anything out of.

This is stupid and not even remotely accurate.

So any kid older than 6 is too old to go to Disney? Congrats this is one of the dumbest comments I've seen here and that's really saying something.

You've made this very clear.

These people are just weird. Disney has nothing to do with it.

Even the most radical of adult Disney fans have nothing on these weirdos. My Little Pony is specifically made for little girls. Disney is a ton of different parks, shows, rides, etc. that appeal to people of all ages. Sure it's not for everyone but I've been as a kid, as an adult with kids and as an adult without kids and each time you get a different preservative and experience depending on if your kids are with you or not.

Wish everyone the best at the next Brony convention.
Our school here in Fl just recently took the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders to Orlando back in March. They voted on what park they wanted to visit. They picked Universal, when voting Disney didn't get too many votes. Like I said most kids I know are pretty much over Disney by 8 or 9 years old.

Have you even been to Disney or is this just internet research?
There is a lot targeted to adults. Epcot is by far more targeted at adults than children. The entire world section is pretty much a nightmare for little kids. Shopping, food, alcohol, and shows. It's a mix in other parks and plenty to do outside of character meet ups and kiddie rides.
Yes, there are weird Disney freaks, but that is true of pretty much any activity. There will always be weird people doing weird things.

I went to DW for my first honeymoon. (
)
On my to-do list for the day of 9.11.2001 was to call the travel agent and pay for our trip to some island (Jamaica, I think? )
That night, we were like - yeah... frick getting on an airplane EVER AGAIN, we'll just drive to Disney.

Jp1LSU thinks that a classy vacation is Bioxi, MS, or Gulf Shores, AL.
