Anyone with a new Bosch dishwasher to offer some feedback?

Looking at getting a new dishwasher. We currently have a pair of Fisher & Paykel dish drawers that I hate. Bosch dishwashers are highly regarded for cleaning and quietness, so that is what I'm looking for as a replacement.
And I absolutely hate opening a dishwasher and seeing a full load of wet plastics which I'm forced to use because I have young kids.
The Bosch 500 series has an AutoAir feature that opens the dishwasher after the cycle is complete. Seems like this would be similar to allowing "drip dry" like when I hand wash. This sounds like it would work perfectly for loads run at night.
The Bosch 800 series offers something called CrystalDry and reasons unknown, the company decides that if you choose this CrystalDry feature, you cannot also have the AutoAir feature. So, I need to choose between either the AutoAir or the CrystalDry.
Anyone have experience with the CrystalDry feature? Does it actually work as advertised? Is it worth purchasing?
Seems most reviews are paid reviews (via BestBuy gift card) where the writer doesn't actually own the product.

We have had Bosch's the last 20 years, great machines, super quiet.

Best dishwasher we've ever had.

Mine is very quiet and cleans very well, but even with the "extra dry" it doesn't dry as good as my last GE. If we forget to check the drying aid everything would be soaked.

Bosch is awesome. Use the jet dry

Mine doesn't have either of those features but will dry plastics if I keep the Jet Dry stuff full. It cleans the hell out of some dishes.

We’ve had one for 10 years. Better than any of the GE dishwashers we’ve had. The power button sticks. It’s quiet. Have to use the Jet Dry stuff. The little dispenser door won’t stay closed.

We have 2 and they are great. Pricey but worth it.

Wish I could offer advice but having a 30 yr old Whirlpool doesn’t allow me to assist.

Mine is 15 years old. Quiet as he'll.

We have a thermador which is made by Bosch. Cleans dishes better than any I have had in the past.

Bosch sucks arse. I’ve had to replace a microwave, stove and oven in a brand new house. All Bosch. Strangely, the dishwasher is the only thing I haven’t had to replace, but it sucks too. Horrible prong placement and the god damn bottom shelf fricking launches itself out of the front anytime you try to pull it out to load dishes.

Solid, so quiet forget it is running. Also, at its bottom it projects a nice red light on to the ground so you can tell it is on.

Bought a house with one and have heard they are incredible. Mine is meh and leaves stuck on stuff on glasses and such. I've investigated a little and haven't found anything broken, but I'm not an appliance expert.
Definitely quiet and looks good.

I was in a similar situation a few years ago. I bought one of the Bosch Silence Plus models. It doesn’t any of the drying features, and Yes, our kids plastics were wet.
The good news is it was such a good dishwasher we started using the Quick Wash feature. We didn’t notice any difference in cleanliness between that and the much longer normal wash.
So we ran the dishwasher when we knew someone was going to be around for the next hour. We would shake off the excess water within a few minutes of finishing and close it back up. Everything was usually dry after 30 minutes or so. That part wasn’t bad, but the amount of little plastic and silicone inserts on some of the kid’s cups is ridiculous. A lot of things needed to be shaken.

Love ours. Get one with an LED so you know it’s on. Even though I have that screen I still accidentally open it because I can’t hear it.

We have had both of those brands for dish washers and washing machines. I vowed to never buy either again for anything. Both brands provided multiple problems for us. I'm going back to the older brands from the past. Good luck if you decide on either one of them.

many new dishwashers are poor performers. about 5-7 years ago epa/fed govt mandated major energy improvements that were implemented by reducing circulation rate of water and stretching the cycle time 2x. we installed a new one 12 months ago and the long cycle time caused the above research
