Anyone use GoodRx or Singlecare?

I'm at the doctor's office for my Dad. They have these GoodRx cards in the waiting room. Been researching it a bit while I wait. Came across their app, plus one for Singlecare.
Anyone use these or something similar? I remember a while back that my pharmacy told me they had some coupons they used for me regarding a Rx, which knocked the price down. I wasn't sure what they were talking about and never followed up on it.
I'm old enough now to appreciate savings anywhere I can find it.
Experiences?

Yes, goodrx will get you some good discounts

I used to use it all the time when I had my old insurance plan. GoodRX will save you a TON of money on many medications. A lot of times, I didn’t even use my insurance because GoodRX made it much cheaper than it was with insurance.

What benefit is there to sign up for the $8.99 monthly subscription? Looks like I can just hand them the card I have here at the doc's office.

It's best to check prices before you tell the doc where to send the script. They can vary greatly at different pharmacies

It depends. If he has a Medicare prescription plan you have to use either the plan to cover or the GoodRx to discount I believe.
So different than if you were using it with your insurance and you’re not on Medicare.

Just order peptides and make your own medicine

I have used GoodRx a bunch of times. Mostly when I was between jobs and had no insurance.

And, if the pharmacy doesn’t offer that they can sell a prescription to you as “their price”, just ask. I had one that my insurance didn’t cover, the price was $120, and I used GoodRx to get $60. The next time my pharmacy mentioned they could sell it to me at $25.

Go to TrumpRX online.
Besides the prices his team negotiated down, they have also paired with GoodRx, Amazon, and Cost Plus so you can see the best deals from all four. You don't buy drugs from TrumpRX, but it shows you where the best deals are and you download a coupon you can use at the pharmacy
I've used it several times and it's not uncommon to get a prescription cheaper this way than through our medical insurance.

Yup. Just generate the code direct from GoodRx and show your pharmacist when picking up the prescription. It's great for drugs that your insurance won't cover.

The drug business model is so fricked. Got five scrips filled at Walgreens on insurance for $0. The sixth one rang up at $275.
GoodRX says CVS has it with insurance for $75 at CVS. I get there to fill it and it’s $40 withOUT the insurance but $75 with.

It’s good for boner meds insurance doesn’t cover.

Multiple times per day 365 days a year I'm running GoodRX, Singlecare. BuzzRX, HelloHippo, etc..for clients that are put on new Rx and we need to check the coupon prices against their current prescription coverage.
GoodRX is fantastic but only if you know how to search properly and GoodRX doesn't always make it easy.
1. GoodRX will default to a one month supply. Never search for a one month supply unless that's all you need. The big savings are searching for a 3, 6, 9, or 12 month supply. Yes, you can purchase more than a 90 day supply with the coupons because there is no insurance involement. It's your insurance company restricting you to a 90 day supply. Many of my clients taking maintenance meds that they are sure they will be on for the whole year save a bundle with a 6-12 month purchase..
2. Never let GoodRX show you a coupon for only one pharmacy. They will ask you to chose your favorite pharmacy -DON'T DO IT. You chose the option to show coupons for all available pharmacies in your area. GoodRX doesn't provide one coupon that can be used at many pharmacies. They provide phamacy specific coupons and the pricing is all over the place. A drug can be 18.00 for a 90 day supply at CVS and directly across the street at Walgreens it will be 80.00 for the same 90 day supply.
If your script isn't at the pharmacy with the best coupon transferring the script is now easy. No need to ask your Dr to call it in to a different pharmacy. You just contact the pharmacy where you'd like to pick it up and they will request the transfer
3. Never let a pharmacy run a GoodRX search for you. They never come up with the same savings as when you search on your own.
4. Lastly, if your script is let's say a 20mg dose remember that 20mg can be tablet or possibly a capsule. It can also be two 10mg tablets or a 40mg tab broken in half. You'd be surprised at the price difference due to different manufacturers and supply and demand issues in your area. Your Dr will be happy to rewrite the script if it saves you money.
Good hunting!

Can confirm Good Rx is legit. My daughter is a pharmacist tech and says it saves people a lot of money.
