As the owner of a local clinical laboratory - no. Me, and my staff, are tired of running negative tests. You are doing yourself, and neighbors, no good in getting a test if you are not having symptoms - regardless of "contact tracing"

I unfortunately have to report every single, GD, test to the state health department. Also your insurance is getting PO'ed at me for billing them and causing my AR to increase.

ETA: to all you DV'srs: my point being don't get the vaccine and then get tested. We handled a part of a trial. So, no don't get tested once you have the vaccine because we have to report a test regardless of your vaccination. You will show up positive in the HDS system therefore counting as a positive test, not a positive but "vaccinated" which is not available at this moment.

I’m probably going to end up having to because I’m an essential employee. I don’t care anymore.

I'm "high risk" due to taking immunosuppressants, but won't get one unless it's recommended by my doctor. To my knowledge, it hasn't been tested on immuno compromised people, so I'm assuming it's going to be a no go.

Awwww, hell yes I would get it as soon as given the opportunity. My doctor told me it would be “problematic” if I catch this shite, so I will get it without a second thought. I would not be missing another football game or meal in a restaurant.

We'll wait. High risk and elderly first.

I will get it when my round comes up as medical professionals, nursing home residents and high risk will go first. My decision is based purely on my wife since she knows infinitely more about the subject than I do and talks with other Drs routinely about it. I ask her a couple of days ago if "we" were getting it and she replied unless new information comes up yes. Good enough for me.

For a site that loves to dunk on anti-vaxxers, it’s amusing how many will claim to not take a Covid vaccine. Mid 20s, no comorbidities- I’ll wait at the back of the line until people who need it more get a chance to have it

ETA: These companies have tested the vaccine on tens of thousands already and it was approved. Unless you believe you are among the weakest denominator of citizens, not sure why the hell you wouldn't, especially when you want the country to get back to normal..

They could test it on a million people, but we have no idea what the long term affects of the vaccine will be. I’m healthy, have antibodies, and will wait in the back of the lined, but I’m waiting in the way back when we’re sure all the kinks have been worked out.

frick no. I'm going to let yall old frickers and those of y'all with co-morbidities get the first crack at it. I'm 6'2, early 30's, 200 lbs, and healthy. No reason for me to get it. Had one flu shot in my life and that's the only year I've ever had the flu.

Never got tested, but lost sense of smell and taste in early March for about a week or two before it was well known that was a side effect. Im good. I hope all of yall who actually worry about catching the covid get one of the vaccines.

Agree on the waiting in back of the line. Just saying if a bunch of elderly folks handle the vaccine fine, not sure what the worry is

With two (if not three) vaccines coming out what decides which to get?

I was asked yesterday if I wanted it through work (not high risk) and declined. I'll get one but I won't be one of the first.
