It's just another stupid reason to go walk around that puke smelling dump.

Why anyone would leave their home to go to Bourbon St is beyond me.

You do realize that the Festival takes place almost entirely off of Bourbon Street? Or maybe you've never been and don't know what in the fork you're talking about.

FQF used to be fun, too crowded now especially on the weekends

It's still worth doing; just try to avoid the Riverwalk/Jackson Square areas b/w 1-6pm on the weekend.

We still go, I do worry about what could happen. Last time we were down there was when they had that shooting on interstate and we were not far from it when it happened.

I will probably not let my child go down anytime soon if it doesn't get better. I fear for college age kids going especially if drinking.

I went to walk around by the river and people watch with my lady, but I'm not paying all that money to try food I can have any day of the week there. Or $12 drinks. F that. But it was a nice day...and we spent a good bit of it inside Harrah's, too.

They seem to have done a better job of dispersing the crowd. I didn't try to go along the riverfront, but Royal St, Jackson Sq, and around Decatur St were much more manageable than in recent years.

Of course. maybe it was just because of all those who stayed away in fear of getting shot.

Seems silly when you consider how many people were there and so few incidents happen. Some of those indicents that did happen where in areas or times I would never be. Not much to be scared of

I didn't go because it has gotten too big.

Was awesome 6-7 years ago when it wasn't so popular

Went Saturday night and had a blast. Parked in the $3 lot by the Claiborne overpass and had no problems walking back at 10PM. On a side note, upper Canal is an eyesore and has to be one of the worst thoroughfares in New Orleans.

Been several times years ago. I speak from experience and lived in NO.

NO is a dump now as far as the party AREA.

Wasn't someone shot and/or killed there a couple years ago?

went Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was miserably crowded. Sunday paled in comparison. I guess everyone was hungover. It was easy to get around and we able to hit every stage. Lines werent bad at all besides the 1 drink line behind the Abita stage on the river

Definitely my least favorite street in the city.

Lived there for years. House on Camp. Just sold family duplex off Magazine. (LOVE Petite Grocery!) Family in Old Met.

Face it, if you don't live in Garden or old met, you look to live out of the shitty limits.

Why is dat? Easy, the rest of the city area is a dump.

Nice areas and love parts of the district.

But the party area, canal, Bourbon, etc are eysores and dumps. It's embarrassing. Throw in the chocolate city bs and all the crime and sub par police force....no thanks
