Yeah. I saw him at the Municipal in Shreveport. He builds his live comedy show off of funny stories and one liners from his podcast. So it was a little intertwined with a sprinkle of new material.

I'm not a podcast purist, but a podcast on a long drive makes the drive time fly by to me. I prefer Rogan, but Theo has been landing some good guest.

Theo’s big appeal is that he is a recovered addict and comes across as very empathetic and real.
Nobody thinks he is a Dave Chappelle level comic, and his fans don’t care.

I'll give Theo time if JRE or Shawn Ryan do not have anything interesting going on.

Went to see him live because he would always pop up on my tik tok with some good clips and his Netflix specials were good. He absolutely bombed live. Worst comedian I've ever seen live and made me not care to ever listen to him again. Was a legit jerk to the audience in the middle of his set. Completely lost his audience and had a whole arena of *crickets* during a stand up show.

It's never a good sign when mingo is white knighting for an unfunny comedian

Some of his guests are extremely insightful. Others I have no interest in. I guess that’s knighting

His podcast isn’t even always about being funny, it’s just a peak into people’s heads that we wouldn’t get. Dude got Antonio Brown to talk serious. It was wild

I think podcasts are what soys listen to instead of Walton and Johnson

They probably think the classic rock eagle 98.1 plays is toxic masculinity too

You're missing out, my friend.

1000's of subjects to learn about. Think about listening to hours and hours of college lectures about subjects that you find interesting (and many that you never even thought about).

Listen while you drive, while you mow, while you travel, while you wait at the doctor's office, while you get your oil changed.

How? I use spotify. But just about anywhere you can listen to music, you can listen to podcasts. Just click on a podcast rather than a song.

You can also listen at different speeds. I listen to most at 1.2x normal speed. I slow it down if I need more time to digest it.

Types of subjects? politics, comedy, history, how to's, guns, hunting, fishing, sports, religion, self-help, etc

And you can fire the lecturer anytime you disagree or get bored.

If it’s not popular enough for a major broadcast, I don’t listen. I’m not sure how or why people search all around for some pre recorded podcast by a D list radio guy.

It's all those WFH assholes, surely. While I sit here in a cube, at work, listening to an episode of "The Rest is History," about King Leopold and the Congo. But go back to your Austin version of Walton and Johnson and keep talking about D list hosts.

Nah. But I do enjoy the clips from him and Rogan sniffing smelling salts!
