Yes, kfc uses a 6 pound bird that makes it juicy and tender, compared to Popeyes 10 pound bird that makes it dry and tough. There’s a reason kfc tastes better, it’s the size of bird they use.

KFC is bottom of the barrel. I'd eat a chicken sandwhich from McDonalds before anything from KFC.

Ms Dot’s is a different spin. You’d have to try it. Wings R King is a local franchise that does only wings. They pressure cook everything to order and is fantastic. They have one non-ghetto location in Irondale.

I like Popeye's but I have to admit I like KFC better. The chicken is not as tough and seems more moist and tender to me. Popeye's seems to have a tougher and dryer chicken. The spices just don't make up for that.

Mommy taught me to use a pressure cooker to fry chicken, not a deep fryer like I use for fish and hushpuppies. The chicken is crispy and less greasy that way.
