Anyone know the backstory of the "medical salesman" always begging along Bluebonnet?

There are some really long Baton Rouge NextDoor threads about the guy. Everyone seems to have been harassed by him at least once.
Apparently his name is Kevin. He is a white guy who dresses nice and is clean cut, but has spent many years harassing people in parking lots along Bluebonnet, Jefferson, Burbank, etc. saying he is a salesman and left his wallet at a hospital, or some lie along those lines.
I know he has personally tried to feed me his bullshite a few times at different areas around town.
Someone here has to know his backstory.

His actual job title is "Street Pharmacist"
ETA: He's hit me up at the Marathon gas station on Siegen. Same "forgot his wallet" line.

I'm sure his backstory is that he's homeless and makes enough money to buy some decent clothes to support a bullshite con of being a medical salesman to generate more income from stupid people.

Same guy approached me at the Exxon across from Blue Bayou about a year ago, Lexus and all.
He some some ridiculously convoluted story about where he had left his wallet, all the steps needed to be taken to retrieve it, and why I needed to give him money. None of it made sense, any legit story would have started and ended with "let me drive my fully functioning Lexus to where my wallet is"

Oh boy… this guy is the subject of the longest Nextdoor post I’ve ever seen, with literally hundreds of people in Baton Rouge recounting their experiences with this con artist.
And yes, even I have been approached by him in a Wal Mart parking lot. The same old lost wallet and needs a few bucks… but don’t worry… I’m an actual professional routine.
I just told the guy, look, I gotta go. Good luck with that.
I really have very little sympathy or tolerance for what he does to people. This town has a weird soft spot for beggars and con men. It’s that soft spot that keeps them going, even though literally thousands of people in Baton Rouge have heard his act, sometimes two and three times.

Not sure his backstory but that guy approached me in front of the circle K on the corner of Bluebonnet/coursey and airline, where I was stopped at a red light.
This was on Christmas Eve, so he incorporated that into his act. Said he was trying to get back to Jackson MS to his family for christmas but that his car was at the lake hospital here in BR. Adamant about how he's not a bum and works in medical sales. I just started driving off when the light turned green.

I was approached by this con at the Lobdell Shell station 10 years ago, said he ran out of gas and was “embarrassed” to ask if I could spare him some gas money to get home and said his cards didn’t work.
I told him nope, I have zero cash, sorry; and he disappeared behind the Shell. Definitely a junkie, and I’m surprised ten years later he’s still trying this weak, pathetic hustle.
Obviously, people are giving him money.

That guy showed up at our St. Patrick's Day tailgate by Ivar's a couple of years ago and laid some BS story on one of my buddies. My guy actually had his wallet out and was about to hand him cash when I realized I had read about this dude just a few days earlier on the OT.
I yelled out "you are that fricking scam artist they talk about on TigerDroppings" and he immediately wheeled around and took off. My buddy was standing there with cash in hand and the guy didn't even grab at it, just took off walking.
It was pretty comical.

I was approached by a guy a few years ago at the Circle K, on Perkins and Siegen. I was pumping gas, and a guy drives up at the pump next to me, in a decent looking car. Looked like your typical Catholic High graduate, who has lots of money. Well he told me he forgot his wallet back at home in NOLA, and asked me if I could give him some money for gas, so he could make it back to NOLA. I told him that I only had a card, so he said ok I understand. Then he asked if I went to Parkview and I told him no, and he told me he use to swim at De La Salle. I was like cool man, best of luck, and I left. Don’t know if this was the same guy, but if I remember correctly, he had dark brown hair. He certainly didn’t look like he needed money.

All these con artists think that the more convoluted their story is, the more people will believe it.

If they weren’t making money, they wouldn’t be doing it for a decade. Enough people are still falling for it.
And LMAO at you Nextdoor readers. Terrible. Can’t believe you admit that.

Next time say “I was about to ask you the same thing”

I have been approached by him a couple of times along the coursey corridor over the past few years. Looks like he's kind of dressed for a casual Friday at work. I want to say he had a lanyard and an ID badge around his neck. Now I kind of like if he comes up to me so I can call him out on it.
