Be sure to ask your driver what's up with the meth head riding shotgun.
I don't trust people handling my food INSIDE of a restaurant, why would I trust someone crack fiend with with a friend delivering my shite?
Nah thanks.

You will average 2 deliveries per hour, and the average tip is $3. When it’s all said and done, you will gross $8.00-$10.00 per hour.

Supposedly you make $5 per hr and the rest is tips and the days you would wanna work is Thurs-Sunday which is the busiest times.
Average around 2-3 deliveries per hr supposedly
I worked there from last November to this April and they had 4 different ways you got paid in those 4 months.
1. $5/hour + tips
2. Guaranteed $15/hour
3. $5/hour + $5 per delivery (I had no problem with this)
4. $5/hour + $5 per delivery (Thursday-Sunday).
My day off during the week was Wednesday. My last shift I worked 8 hours...had 20 deliveries and made $11 in tips.
You have to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and have to work one shift on Saturday or Sunday.
And...they can assign you Sonic or Marble Slab in the Mall and you have to take it.
Its terrible.

It is different than Uber in the sense that you have a schedule. You can’t just turn it on and off at your leisure.

Why not?
Because I already work enough, I'm not hurting for money anyway, and I'd like to sit down and just breath every once in a while. Also, if I really wanted to work more I'd probably get more ROI putting work into my primary career.

Did you deliver in some bad areas? I've never used Waitr but I would absolutely tip 20% if I did.
The only uses I see are late orders if you've been drinking and group orders. Otherwise there are 15 places near my office or home where I can go pick up my own food.

Maybe so. Right near BR General and OLOL. I could understand if he had 2 huge bags but that baw looked like he was getting 2 #1s and probably made $3 on it.

Looked into it and looks like you can bring in between $1,500 - $2,000 of extra income per month. And that's working 4 days a week with an average of 4 hrs per shift.
So you think they make 23-31/hr ??

My son did it for one weekend before we found out that, unlike Uber driving, your normal car insurance will not cover you delivering for Waitr. At the time, the only insurance provider that had a policy to cover it was progressive and it was cost prohibitive.
We found out through a friend who found out from another driver who got in a wreck. So we called waitr and our insurance and confirmed. I don’t see how they can operate that way, especially not saying a thing about it to their drivers. Don’t take my word for it. Check on it yourself.

Did she at least order from Meches?

Personally I think you’d do better with uber or Lyft. Seems like Waitr is too dependent on tips and too much turnaround time since you have to go to restaurants first and then to the customer

You can’t do 3 deliveries in an hour when you have to drive to the place, maybe wait, go to a house and repeat.

She did, actually, although it was from their Lafayette location.

theyre lying to you
I used to work with a guy who "worked 4 hours" and made less than 150. Besides everyone I've seen that works for waitr seems weird, fat, or all of the above.
