Probably getting the SO a vehicle this summer and these are high on the list. Basically a small SUV vs a crossover.
Any pros and cons on these?
Thanks

I'd go Venza out of those two. Rav4 is too small for me personally. I test drove a 4 cylinder Venza XLE and liked it (was for my mom, but definitely would be a nice car to drive). New or used?

I was helping my sister look at small SUV's and the moment I sat in the Rav4 I fell in love. I bought a Camry two months before, otherwise I'd have bought the Rav4 on spot. The new ones are really nice. Took it out for a drive and it runs as you expect Toyota to.

The Rav4 is a decent vehicle. I haven't been in a Venza but I think the Rav4 would suit you well.
And buying your SO a car? SMH

Daughter #2 has one (Rav4 2011) and has driven the wheels off of it. Gets regular maintenance and zero problems.

Probably new. Found a couple certified with under 20k that are possible, but if I can get new for only a couple grand more it's hard not to do that. She averaged about 7-8k miles a year.

The Rav4s have come a long way. Nice looking vehicle now

Nice.
I noticed from 2012 to 2013 the Rav4 had an entire facelift. Much nicer and cleaner looking.

I wish the venzas were a little better looking in the exterior. I know they're very nice but I can't get past the looks...and front wheel drive.
On the exterior too
ETA Why not look at the 4Runners? My wife (no pics) has a 2015 and loves it.
ETA ETA She drove a 2014 RAV4 for a rental and really liked it, we just needed something bigger.

My gf just bought a brand new rav 4 last week. With 0% financing it needed up being cheaper than most of the slightly used ones we looked at
I like it. It's supposedly on the Camry chassis but it has more room than you think

I wish, but she's not comfortable with a vehicle that big. I even tried to push the highlander but she wasn't even going for that.

Buying a car for a girlfriend? Yikes

Yea well I know how that goes.
I'd chose the Venza just bc it'll be a little bigger on the inside, even tho I like the RAV4 exterior a lot better.

Living with your parents and working at a grocery store when you're in your late 20s?

Not to get in the way of that sick burn, but I don't live with my parents.

You moved out last week, my bad.

I had a Venza as a rental once. The ride is very smooth and comfortable and there's plenty of room. The only downside is that it looks a little odd.

I knew he was moving too fast when he bought the dog.
I'd go Venza Ham. However does she drive many miles ? Might be better to go lease a higher end vehicle with all maintence included for the lady. That's a better fit for that inner loop high class lifestyle.
