Spanish II class to Mexico City my senior year. Went to one somewhere around their. I think they had 6 on the card that day. We all pulled for the bull, the bulls went 0-6. Just slowly killing the damn thing before the matador comes in to finish the deal. Was unimpressed.

Went with my Spanish class, and traveled throughout Mexico back in 1975 and went to the bull fights one afternoon.
I'll never forget that entire trip. No way I'd do something like that today. Especially with how the gangs are in Acapulco now.

When I was stationed in Spain couldn’t wait to go to a bull fight. It sucked,to tell the truth.
First of all, they pack the spectators in like sardines.People up against me on both sides,my knees in someone’s back, person behind had their knees in my back.
It was hot as hell,Spaniards don’t bathe regularly or use deodorant so there was overwhelming b o stench.
Spaniards consider it a form of art.More like torturing an animal to me.
I’m a lifelong hunter and I’ve killed lots of animals and birds in my life but I Ike to see them fall dead first shot.Doesn’t always happen but I hate it when it doesn’t.
I was sincerely disappointed a matador didn’t get gored. One of them caught a rip in his tights, that was all.
That one time did it for me,I never went to another.

Yes, in Madrid about 7 years ago.
Was entertaining yet brutal and kinda disturbing. I just drank and tried to take it all in.
Worst part was a bull that wouldn't go down. The crowd was cheering him after the matador couldn't put him down after about 4-5 tries and gave up. The bull was still up and lively. They ended up coming out with a dagger and popping him in the skull. Crowd was pissed.

Yep. When I was a kid we were stationed in Spain and went to one. Don't remember what town it was in but we lived at Zaragoza AB.
I remember the matador got a lung shot on the bull and it was pretty bloody.

I once saw two butch lesbians get in a fight at a bar not far outside of Indianapolis. I don't think I could have taken either one of them if we're being honest.

Well this got out of hand in a hurry.
He’s not wrong. There are way more fricked up things being done in the name of “progressivism” than a bull getting killed.
shite, Fauci strapped nets with infected mosquitoes onto beagle puppies heads in the name of science. No one gives a shite about that.
Downvote away, progs.

We went in Madrid in high school. It was sad.

Make true fight. Just the bull and the matador no holds barred cage match!
Does the bull get his strength and aggression taken away? The reason some humans are at the top of the food chain is our intellect. Taking away our tools is like asking a lion to kill a water buffalo with no teeth or claws.

I know a girl that likes to go to bull fights on acid.

Amongst other things, yes.

I went to one in Monterrey, Mexico in 1965 when I was a kid. Didn’t enjoy it then, and I still remember a lot of it. Incredibly cruel. Makes me nauseous to think about it.
By the way, thanks for reminding me.

Went to the bullfights in Pamplona in ‘86. Watched the running in the morning but didn’t run with the bulls. It was cool but rough on the bulls.

I did. Saw it in Madrid. Matador actually caught a horn to the face doing it and lost a few teeth.

Yes...in a tiny shithole of a town called Apisaco...I was about 5 or so at the time but looking back I'd call it the bawcomville of Mexico. Anyway, the ring was center of town and really just wooden fence.... don't remember it being too exciting..think the bull had clinical depression.

I went to a bullfight in Pamplona 10 years ago. It was an experience. The locals were friendly and they passed around leather pouches filled with dark wine or kalimotxo, wine mixed with CocaCola and when they saw that I had nothing to offer they made sure that I got drunk and they offered me cheese and ham and red pepper sandwiches. The crowd reminded me of a small time European soccer match, dotted with waving flags and competing drum and tuba bands playing throughout. Some of the locals were knowledgeable about each bull and their temperament and from which farm it came and they cheered for their favorite matadors, but I could tell that these were the aficionados and they proudly dispensed their knowledge to those in their section as they watched more intently than the rest. The sport and the spectacle of the arena and the crowd and the city were so foreign to me that I did not quite grasp the full brutality when the bull was slowly pricked with spears and bled and toyed with until he finally received a merciful death blow. The wine thankfully dulled my reactions. I recall feeling that the barbaric sport belonged in another age or on another planet, but I found it fascinating and weirdly romantic. It is brutal and I wish the sport would end, but I’d buy another scalped bullfight ticket if I found myself in Pamplona again.

This.
I went in 1970 in Mexico City. I was rooting for the bull the whole time and finally left before the bull was executed.
