Sometimes I'm at my inlaws while my FIl is mowing. I will hop on the mower to save him some time and I enjoy it. He's upgraded to a zero turn so I have to stop to get a sip of beer, but I do enjoy it. I don't mow my own yard because I work offshore and it would look like hell half the time.

Same here. That’s one thing my dad instilled in me early. Take pride in it and do it right. It’s your first impression to the world.
I just pay someone to provide that first impression to the world for me.

I love yard work! I can sit and watch my wife do it for hours!

Curious to hear how that works. I've seeded 2-3 times but it doesn't seem to take well. Our GSD does a number on the grass
If it's heavily shaded, there isn't a whole lot that will grow and mature. Those two trees in the pic are the only two in my backyard and it gets plenty of afternoon sun.

I like doing it, instant feel good moment when something looks better, can pop in AirPods and music and get away from the kids without my wife talking shite.

I don't. I despise yard work.
I mean I will still do it because I'm the man. But that doesn't mean I'm going to like it.

I love working in the yard. The amount of people in my neighborhood that don’t even cut their own grass is pathetic. Small yards, you can’t even take 20 minutes to cut your own grass? Lazy asses
We have .7 acre yard. Takes me an hour almost to the minute to mow, trim and edge. Riding mower and some push mower areas. When we relocated my yard equipment was in transit and, not wanting to buy new hired a young guy and his partner to do the yard for a month and then my stuff would be delivered. $400 a month and they did it about every 7-8 days. Did a fantastic job...so good, and they were so nice, that I did not have the heart to tell them I would take over for about 18 months. I finally did it and I am glad I did but they were good folks and I hated to stop doing business with them. $400 a month aint a lot of money but I can keep the yard up with 4 hours of work a month and keep $400 a month in my pocket...and get some fresh air and exercise in the bargain...

I do. As long as I am physically able, no one will ever cut my yard for me.
1000% this. my yard is my happy place. it is where i go to relax. it is hard work with a push mower, cause it is on a hill - but the pride i take is well worth the effort.

Hate cutting the grass but love gardening.

I used to until I had kids. Didn't have the time and it was easier to pay a crew $25 to mow the yard in 15 minutes that took me over 2 hours to do.

Absolutely. Its like meditation for me.

I've never enjoyed yard work before, but I may have to learn to enjoy it. Having yard guys do it for me is getting a little expensive. ![](https://i.imgur.com/WslklIu.gif)

Love it.

I've always done my own yard work and over the years that has included bringing in fill and spreading, laying sod, cutting and trimming the grass, maintaining a fairly large back yard vegetable garden and at least 50 or more potted plants.
Then there's the pressure washing of driveways, sidewalks, patios, etc.
So no shortage of work needing to be done on a regular basis.

I enjoy it when I don’t have to do it but choose to do it.

I would enjoy it more if I was retired
