Teeth falling out in clumps. And the super slow motion reaction dream.

That dream about finals is actually a pretty common dream. I graduated nearly 30 years ago and I still have it once a month or so. It really is odd how universal it is, too....doesn't matter where you went to school or how long ago you graduated.

That’s crazy. Mine is that the final is coming up and I never attended but forgot to drop the class. Often times it seems like it’s in more of a high school setting though.

Yes, I have a crumbling teeth one occasionally.
Mostly I have airplane crash dreams, or terrorist dreams, or my favorite where I look in cockpit and see one of my friends flying the plane.

YEs all the time. I get lost. Lost in a building, lost outside trying to go somewhere. Lost in a maze. It’s horrible. I dream interpreted it. Means my life is out of control and I can’t find my way. Great.

always wake myself up before jumping.

Every time I have reoccurring dreams that have some sort of pressure type of situation like yours where you have to jump but don't, I've began to over come that fear by the second or third time I dream it and just force myself to jump. The dream almost never reoccurs again.

Odds are though that you have something in real life that is putting pressure/strain on you. Something that you need/should/ maybe even want to do, but you just can't bring yourself to do it. Could be even something that just makes you slightly unhappy, like a job or something. Or maybe it's just a dream....

I have this dream a few times a year. Lots of people do--none of the operators sitting on their arse reading this right now

In my version of it I always find out during finals and attempt to take the final and have no clue about anything on the test of course.

Why is this the most vivid recurring dream for so many people (it is for me and I haven't been in a classroom as a student for nearly 20 years)?

It's such an odd phenomenon.

When I was younger it was a dream about always falling off a cliff. Now, it's just random shite.

It's always the same house and the same small room. I'm being chased by a hoard of fast running, ravenous, growling zombies. I race through the front door, but don't have time to close it.

I run into a bedroom that has a window that faces the front door. I'm able to slam close the door to that room.

I watch out the window as this ferocious hoard enters the house. I hear them racing to the room I'm in as I brace for the inevitable. But I always wake up as the door bursts open.

Or it could arise out of my years as a paratrooper with USASOC on Fort Bragg.

But getting back to the dream. There's no way to get down from that isolated platform but jump. I'm all alone. There's no water, food or toilet up there. The jump is going to deliver a crushing blow, so, I choose to wake up instead. Even a perfect landing is going to really hurt.

PS I don't know how to do things on purpose in a dream. I guess I would jump if I had that choice.

My teeth either falling out or crumbling like chalk. Happens pretty regularly and I’ll just randomly recall it throughout the week. Sometimes whole portions of my gum line, too. Those dreams fricking suck.

I used to have those a good bit too. I researched it, and it apparently means you are anxious about something

I'm assuming you posted this because you had the dream last night. I had my odd recurring nightmare last night as well. Weird...wonder if it has to do with the way the moon lines up with Jupiter.

Anyway, mine always has to do with some sort of infestation somewhere. Usually poisonous snakes or spiders. Last night was both First snakes came out while I was doing yardwork, first one, then everywhere I turned another popped up til there was 20-30 huge poisonous snakes in my front yard. Then somehow the snake problem converted to spiders, and black widows kept building webs all over the doorways around my house.

Woke up trying to figure out how I was going to sell my house. Took seriously 5 minutes for me to fully become aware it was a dream. And naturally I felt spiders crawling over me in bed til I fell back asleep.

I can't seem to figure out if you're one of those weird frickers I would avoid at all costs, or if you would be someone that I would enjoy shooting the shite with. Either way, I enjoy your posts.

Let’s hope the latter. I always have a good time when I go out. I’m rather jovial.

I’ve got this one where basically I am back in undergrad trying to squeeze in 21 credit hours and can’t do it, so I decide to drop a class but never actually do it due to forgetfulness during the business of the year and end up failing the class due to never attending it.

The universal dream of everyone who has gone to college? I had that one pretty much during finals week every semester as an undergrad.

l have a dream that I am playing golf. Sounds good. The problem is I go to tee the ball up and no matter where i am on the tee box i can't make a swing. there's always an obstruction in my backswing or a tree or over hanging limbs are in my target line. there is never a solution to the problem.
