I got the J&J shot about a month ago. Not one issue.

Also…I’ve yet to get COVID because I’ve been very cautious this entire time (proper precautions actually works and I am testament to that). I’d rather get vaccine and be better protected (yes I know it’s not 100% protection) and not worry about having long term effects from COVID.

if i'm being honest i really havent been cautious at all, or rather, as cautious as i could have been. i got the J/J vaccine back in may and havent gotten sick, while many i know and see every day have, some acutely sick

so, anecdotally, the vaccine worked/works for me.
i'll get the booster when i can

I mean…it honestly really hasn’t affected my day to day. I wear a mask more often now, no big deal to me really. It’s worked for me and my friend group here cause none of us have gotten sick. Also, none of my friends here will walk around sick, ignoring blatant COViD symptoms and thinking it is just allergies while they continue to socialize with others. They would do the responsible adult thing and avoid others, monitor and see if symptoms go away or get worse, and possibly go get tested instead of possibly infecting someone else. I don’t whine and cry about how a mask is stealing my freedoms like so many others that have become such titty babies about it

My mom is a dental hygienist and hasn't gotten it either. She's traveled all over the place and not adjusted her life to the best of her ability. She's a testament to its a crap shoot if you want to talk in anecdotes.

And several of her patients were almost certainly covid positive when they came as they notified the office within days of their appointment they had symptoms.

Good luck finding it. Feds have not approved distribution yet from the facility that was shut down months ago.

I’ve traveled as well. You can still travel and have some amount of caution in what you do

They haven't changed anything in their office since before covid and they haven't had a single employee get it despite working inside peoples mouth all day. Thousands of people at this point.

I felt like I got hit with a severe flu about 12 hours later. Achy and shivers. Wife got the jab 4 hours after I did and 4 hours later she got hit with the same thing.

Same experience I had. I've also been exposed to the delta a few times and have had no issues.

I did it multiple times and it finally caught up with me. And a vaccinated person who traveled with me.

I got it back in March. Only "issue" was I had some mild chills the night after getting it. Other than that I've had no problems.

Got it, no side effects.

Only issue is still being required to wear a mask on a plane. Should be free to test the efficacy of the shot at my own risk and not have to wear a compliance cloth any longer.

That is not always accurate. CVS says they have it, but I haven't found one that did. I would recommend calling the location to see if they have it and if they are administering that day. May be they give you a date they will be administering and you can reserve your shot. I would not rely on walk-in. I did get J&J. No issues.

if anyone is in the Hammond area or close by north oaks vaccination clinic is super easy. Go online, choose the vaccine and an appointment time, roll in and get the shot, chill for ten minutes and then go

Prior infection antibodies target both the spike protein and the nucleocapsid.

Link for both tables

Yes, you are correct. There are some natural antibodies that target the nucleocapsid and even some that target the cellular envelope, as would be expected since the immune system will eventually recognize all parts of the virus as foreign material. However those are much less common than ones that target some part of the spike protein. The vast majority of the antibodies produced from prior infection target some part of the spike protein and interfere with the spike protein binding with the ACE2 receptor which inhibits viral entry into cells. Also the nucleocapsid and cellular envelope roles in infection and the severity of the infection is not nearly as well as understood as the spike protein's and is likely less important. The body is going to produce the most effective immune response possible to any infection. That is why most of the antibodies the body produces target some part of the spike protein, and also why vaccine makers decided to make a vaccine that targets the spike protein and not the nucleocapsid and cellular envelope. Forgive me for using simple and broad terms in my earlier post. I was trying to convert medical and scientific speak into english that can be understood by people on the internet.

Your “understanding “ then proceeded to say something to prove you have no understanding. It’s sad really sad this pandemic is still going on in America because it willful ignorance
