By that definition I’ve had Covid for about 2 straight years (since it emerged) with zero break.

Because... I have terrible allergies. I’d have to be a shut in my whole life.

Hell, I’ve been this way since I moved to
Louisiana. Maybe I’m patient zero

This "pandemic" will continue until it's done regardless of what we do, just like every other similar virus.

You probably think wearing a mask is effective in slowing the spread of the virus too.

Yes

No but felt light flu-like symptoms for 2 days and not totally back to normal until day 4

But you have true allergy issues. So you would be well in tune to your usual allergy symptoms and know when something is different. I’m talking those that don’t really have chronic allergy issues and just casually dismiss actual symptoms.

I don’t have a lot of allergy issues. So if I have a runny nose and a sore throat that should clue me in to something I need to monitor. Do I run and get tested that second? No. Do I cancel going to happy hour with my friends that night and monitor my symptoms and maybe get tested next day if they persist and get worse? Yes.

I had maybe a day and a half of feeling crappy, but nothing major. And that was after getting only a couple of hours of sleep the night before the shot.

The biggest issue I had was that it raised my fasting blood sugar numbers to the highest I've ever measured (I check daily.) I'm not fat (BMI 25.2) and only borderline pre-diabetic (A1C of 5.6 for the last 3 years), so I've never measured over 121 before. After the shot I hit 133 and it took 6 days to get back under 100. (Diabetics may scoff at that number, but I feel effects if my fasting test is over about 111.)

Doc said the temporary rise in blood sugars is common for the shots.

I have a ton of allergy issues and my covid symptoms were exactly the same as my allergy symptoms the first few days. My husband having symptoms is why we tested. There is absolutely no way I would have known until I ran fever or lost taste and smell. Runny nose, sneezing, and minor coughing is very common for me as is shortness of breath.

We’ve had a thorough discussion of the J&J shot in this thread. It’s sad that politically motivated trolls attack without fully understanding. That’s called willful ignorance.

I did. Other than a little soreness at the injection site for a day (which I have whenever I get any shot) I had zero side effects. Main reason I got J&J is because I knew people that had awful side effects from Pfizer and Moderna but everyone I knew that got J&J had none. I have some friends who have had COVID and actually felt worse from the shot, specifically the 2nd dose.

Eh. I live with it.

As shown earlier, I don’t doctor unless I’m dying.

I did ride a horse who had to take daily allergy shots. They didn’t do much. I’ll stick with Zyrtec and nose spray. I’ve adapted to it being a way of life

of course and my allergic reactions to them were legendary (at 1/4 of a child's dose). Any more questions?

You are so right! If people would stop relying on a rushed, largely ineffective series of shots, maybe we could move thru it.
