Anyone Have Any Stories Of People Being Ungrateful For A Gift They Received?

This was years ago but we used to have a get together with friends and there would be a small gift for the kids.. There were a few boys, they would all get the same thing, and a few girls and they got the same thing. It wasn't anything that was expected, the person who was hosting just decided to get them a little something.
Anyway, this one person.. Who became friends with the group through someone else in the group.. And people just tolerated him more than anything.. When his son was given the gift.. After he unwrapped it he threw it and yelled out he didn't want it.
The men were playing cards and the kid's daddy (whose wife wasn't there) just turned around, looked, then said "that boy is something" laughed and kept playing.. I just remember thinking... "And that's why he acts the way he does"..
Anyone got anything?

This is the kind of thread people are talking about with you.
Is it masochism or stupidity? I used to kind of feel sorry for the way people hacked you apart, but you’re relentless.

Most posters on the Rant are ungrateful for the season LSU has had. Does that count?

Ya, tried to give a girl my whole candy bar at recess and she only wanted half.

You just notice it more when I start it. Someone else could start this same exact thread and no one would say anything about it being a shitty thread. But because I started it people are going to bitch and complain and tell me how much it sucks.
I've started threads before and down the road someone else started the same thread.. People went ape shite when I started it. The other one, that wasn't started by me.. People actually posted about the topic.
So do you think I give a frick about the people who bitch?

I bought a homeless guy a half zip pullover from Kmart....a homeless guy.....
He told me, "thanks but it's not really my style."
I kept it and gave it to my father in law.

Did you tell him you tried to give it to a homeless guy first and he didn't even want it?

No. But to be honest, my father in law, God rest his soul, was not really a part of my wife's life and was maybe half step above homeless......he loved the half zip though.

Just took my 8yo grandson and one of his friends to watch Star Wars and about 30 minutes into it, he said he was ready to leave. Though I was thinking the same thing, the 60 bucks I just spent had me wanting to see this one through.
Between his fidgeting and a horrible plot, we left about half way through the movie. Good him that was the last time I would take him to a movie.

I gotcha.
But yeah, its kind of hard to feel sorry for a homeless person when they are picky about what someone gives them.

My maw maw was a lovely woman and like a mother to me but every year she would buy me some sort of animal sweatshirt similar to the one below.
I hated them but had to act like I liked them and my parents made me wear them over to her house occasionally. I'm not sure why but I was the only grandkid she bought them for too
